Canadian_Dude
I was wondering that if I keep my remotes on my subwoofer will it damage them? I don't see anywhere on JBL's site(Here) that it is shielded, I found out the satellites that came with it are, and I am not sure if the magnet will effect the remote. I have been paranoid for too long and thought I should ask.
WMcD
No the magnetic field should not hurt anything. I've never heard anything about magnets messing up any components except for CRTs. There is an amplifier within the subwoofer, unless it is very unusual. The magnetic field is not hurting its components. There is no reason to think it is going to hurt anything in the remotes. MatrixDweller
The memory in some of the fancier remotes is usually not suseptable damage/corruption by magnets. As for vibrations...unless they're rattling around on top and are made of glass then they're probably ok.
DrWho
The only possibility for damage would be getting shaken to pieces, but I really don't think that'll be an issue. The magnetic shielding is certainly not a concern.
