Cornwalled
Hello, I was wondering what any of you thought about using a pair of KSF-S5 speakers as surrounds for a pair of Cornwalls. I came across them on eBay and was curious what you guys thought about the compatibility of the two. I have been thinking that perhaps a set of Heresies would be a better match, but I was curious what you guys thought. Here's the link to the KSF-S5's I saw on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1315264535 Thanks alot, Jon ------------------ markvi82@hotmail.com 1981 Cornwall I's Yamaha DSP-A1000 integrated amp Acoustic Research AR3A's for Pro-Logic rears (Music only setup) Marantz CD Player Yamaha Turntable with Stanton EE Cartridge
kito2112
Did you decide yet?? I don't know about the Cornwalls, but my KLF30's overpower my KSFS5's when I calibrate the system per Avia/VE. A little fudging of the levels is needed to balance the sound correctly. If I had something a little bigger for the rears, I might be even more happy. They sound nice, just not quite enough ummph for my 30's. ------------------ Sony555ES KLF30 mains C7 center KSF-S5 rears Def Tech PF15TL+ Sub Mitsu DVD Yamaha CD Mitsu VHS
Guest BobG
The KSF-S5 will be an even poorer match for the Cornwalls. A more sensitive, more dynamic rear speaker will be needed to match the Cornwall. RS-7's might work, but tonally, Heresy's would be better.
