mikered71 Posted November 17, 2007 Share Posted November 17, 2007 I am interested in the RF-7 reference speakers, auditioned them and they sound great at a local dealer. Wants 900 for them. I regret to say that I have never owned a pair of Klipsch floorstanding speakers before. I am running a McIntosh C2200 Tube Preamp and 2 MC-252s mono-blocked. I was wondering if anyone running a similar mac setup can guide me in the right direction as far as a compliment to my setup. Size is no object. bhenry Posted November 17, 2007 Share Posted November 17, 2007 I have RF-7's and I absolutly love them! I am not running Mac (B&K), but they sound fantastic. I have read on here that they require alot of power and run better on seperates instead of receivers (what speaker wouldn't?), so I think you would be quite happy with them. Plus, $900.00 for a pair is a good deal. Are they new, floor model or what? I paid around $2000 for them new about 2 or 3 years ago. Good thing size is no object- these are big speakers!
