Wrinkles
Hi, I have a pair of these that are in great shape. Can I use these and make a decent pair of subwoofers for my LaScalas? The specs I found at URL http://www.jblpro.com/pub/components/eseries.pdf fs 35 hz Vas 9.7 cubic feet Qts 0.25 Xmas 7.0 Thanks, Wrinkles
masterxela
short answer: no to get your f3 even around 30, you need 300+ liter ported enclosure per driver, i didn't even bother to find out if the port would fit, or how the fr graph looks I imagine you'd get better results from a modestly priced "normal" sub that won't take over your room
michael hurd
No. Go buy a commercially available subwoofer or build one using a good high excursion woofer with large surface area. If DIY is not your strong point, there are good deals to be had in buying commercially available products. If you want, there are people here that can point you in the right direction, but it does cost money. Do you have a budget for DIY or even a commercial product>? Have you any tools and woodworking skills? If you are considering DIY, then an enclosure size ( LxWxD ) would be good to know, as this determines the volume, and also what drivers like that enclosure size. BigT
If you don't have a use for these woofers, I sure do and would be willing to take the off your hands for the right price, if you'd like to sell them. Just give me a price, including shipping to 55066. My e-mail is thegauge@charter.net . This is my first post here but I post regularly at many other forums. I also have an exceptional Ebay rating of 650 with no negative or neutrals. And I once owned Klipschorns, which, much to my regret, I sold years ago.
