kg4guy
I wanted to use 1 of 3 of these Com-Tech 200 amps I have and use my Kenwood KR 9600 as a preamp but I noticed the amp has 3 terminals for each channel. How do I make that work for the RCA 's in the Kenwood ? kg4guy
Thank you I have that manual. I was wondering about how to hook the power amp to the receiver that has RCA input when the power amp has a positive ,negative and a ground wire? DrWho
You need to make yourself a cable that has RCA on the one end and bare wire on the other...or if you're feeling lazy, purchase an RCA cable that is twice as long as you need it to be and then cut it in half - now you've got the two cables that you need. Is it just screw down terminals on the com-techs?
kg4guy
Yes it is screw down and I have RCA jacks with wire on one end that I purchased at Radio Shack but it only has two wires and the amp has a positive a negative and a ground on each terminal? DrWho
You will probably want to go with the connection attached to the bottom of this post. The dotted line cylinder represents the shield on the wire. Note that the shield is connected to both the ground and negative terminal on the comtech. kg4guy
One more question where do I plug the 2 RCA jacks from the power amp into my receiver ?
DrWho
You need a left and right preout (not all receivers have them)
