Beesley Posted January 7, 2008 Share Posted January 7, 2008 Can you audition the the uni-theater? I havent heard mirage for quite a few years, so keep in mind models differ. Prior to my first klipsch 5.1 set-up in the late 90's (synergy) I auditioned the FRX-7 (floor standing), frx-5/3 (Bookshelves), om-5/7/9 (top of their line floor standing), frx-s12 (sub), and avs-500 with frx-s8 5.1 sub sat system. I was imressed with the OM-5 and OM-9, AVS was tolerable. I almost dropped the cash for the OM-5 (dual powered 8 inch subs) after hearing metallica live. Anyhow, back to the point, I have heard good reviews on the current mirage products....try and take a listen; it will quell your curiosity.
