jiggins23
I've had the ProMedia Ultra 5.1 System for years now for my PC and I just got a MacBook. Since the ProMedia DD-5.1 Digital Decoder was discontinued I was wondering if there was a similar product on the market anyone can recommend. Or maybe you could sell me your digital decoder?! erickoegle
Good luck finding the DD 5.1 Last time I saw one, it went for more than 300$ on Ebay. Another choice is the Creative DTS1000.

jiggins23
I found two things on the Creative website, I think the Creative Decoder DDTS-100 was what you were referring to. But I also found this, Creative Home Theater Connect DTS-610 on the bottom link, what's the difference between the two?? http://us.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=4&subcategory=136&product=9468 and http://us.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=1&subcategory=16&product=14191
erickoegle
The Creative Home Theater DTS-610 is just a way of transforming the analog signal from your computer or other analog devices into digital signal. I.E. going from the standard FL/FR, RL/RR, Center/Sub connections to optical or coaxial audio. This is not what you want as it will not go the other way around. You want something that would transform that digital coaxial or digital optical signal to analog signal. Therefore you want the Creative Decoder DDTS-100. -Eric

stoddman
The DD-5.1 can handle Dolby Digital and DTS digital signals, but, sadly, lacks Dolby Pro Logic II capabilities. See: http://gear.ign.com/articles/317/317703p1.html
youngscholars2002
I'm willing to sell my DD 5.1 (in perfect working condition with remote) for $150 if you live in the Chicago area... If not, I may be interested in shipping it if you truly want it.
