billprew
Am I missing something? Is the only way to power off this speaker system via the switch on the subwoofer? This is not useful for me, since the sub is on the floor out of easy reach. The two speakers site next to my monitor on a computer table, but there doesn't seem to be a way to power off the system from them. As a result power is on to my speaker set all the time, even when the PC is powered off. Not optimal. As a work around has anyone found a good reasonable cost surge protector that will detect when the outlet the computer is pluged into is drawing current and automatically turn on other plugs? I've seen this feature on some UPS units, and might be another way for me to power off the speakers automatically when the PC powers down. Or would leaving the switch on the sub in the ON position all the time and turning power on and off via the main power cord be bad for the system? ~bp
Andy W
Or would leaving the switch on the sub in the ON position all the time and turning power on and off via the main power cord be bad for the system? Nothing wrong with that at all. Are you talking about using a power strip with a switch? Some people will tell you to just leave it on, but I am a big proponent of turning it off.
