RG-6 vs RG-59

My house is currently wired with RG-59 cable. This past w/e a friend of mine gave me a DishNetwork 500 dish and 2 recievers. Can I connect the dish to the existing RG-59 cable or will I need to pull new RG-6 cable?

The only thing that I have been able to find out is that I will lose "some bandwith" but will it adversely impact the video/audio signal to my TV/stereo?

Thanks in advance!!

rg 6 IS the specified wire for satellite/digital connections, however i've had rg 59 work sometimes, and sometimes NOT. the sat. rcvr. sends power to the lnb on the dish through the coax, and the signal travels from the lnb to the receiver through it as well. also, NO splitters allowed between dish and receiver. try it, and see what you get. avman.
