Chris Elm Posted April 16, 2008 Share Posted April 16, 2008 Hello. I am hoping to use to Heresy's stacked on top of my Cornwall fronts as a center channel. I am using a Pioneer Elite 7.1 receiver to drive the rest of the channels and the current center. Is there a way to connect to speakers in parallel so that they are receiving the same signal from one channel. I have thought about using the preout for the center and connecting this to a different two channel amp, but the sound was completely different from the other amp when comparing it to the receiver. You may ask, why not just use one Heresy for a center? Well, I don't want to sit the Heresy in the middle of the floor (dog) and it's too heavy to sit on top of the tv. dougdrake Posted April 16, 2008 Share Posted April 16, 2008 Connecting them in parallel will approximately halve the impedance - if they are 8ohms now they'd average about 4 ohms connected in parallel.
