ehinton
I recently obtained a KSW-10, but have an issue with it. Which i think may be the amp. The sub not the port, distorts, a fairly low volumns. I don't even see the speaker trying to move while it is distorting. I ran bare speaker cable as a test directly to the sub(to make sure the sub was not blown) from my amp, and it sounded wonderful without and issue whatsoever. Its this a valid site i could purchase a replacement amp from, or could there be some other issue beside the amp that i don't know about. http://jr.partsearch.com/Part/Klipsch+Audio+Technologies/Klipsch/KSW10/Klipsch+Audio+Technologies/Klipsch/118587/New.aspx
billybob
J&R I am not familiar with but looks legit to me. Did you check fuse on the back of sub, or any other in line to sub?
ehinton
The weird thing, I got tired of waiting for a reply, so I decided to tinker with the sub. I did a lot of test scenarios, and the problem seems to be the port. I comletely removed the port and tested it, and it allow the sub to properly move. Remove the sloppy glue job down on the port it self and used hot glue to re assemlbe the port. And it sounds wonderful now. I guess the air could not enter the enclosure and escape properly.
