New to AVR's

So I decided that I need an AV Receiver. At the moment, I have to get up and unhook and hook up wires in order to switch between Sat., DVD, Wii, and so on. That's no way to live.

I have a vintage HK 430 and am very happy with it for music alone. I plan on getting a switch box and keeping if for vinyl and such. But for video applications I need an AV.

As of now we do not have a HD TV but will in the future so I want HDMI switching. Also do not have surround but will in the future so I need those abilities as well. Whatever multi channel speaker setup I end up going with in the future will be modest.

I'm still looking for a receiver that will work well musically, 2 channel, but since I will
have the option to switch between my old HK it's not as big as a
priority.

Looking at the HK 247. Newegg has one for $250.

That or a Yamaha in the same price range.

Any thoughts or recomendations? This will be running my Heresys.

Thanks for the help!
