jdm56
Nothing against Pioneer Elite here! They make some of the best looking, feature-rich A/V gear on the market, IMO. Plus, I'll always have a warm fuzzy for Pioneer because they were one of the first brands I lusted after in my early audiophile days, back in the mid to late seventies. In fact, the first really good amp I had was a Pioneer SA-8500.(?) 60 watts per, as I recall.
picky
I bought my first good receiver in 1976: A Pioneer SX-838 (50 watts per channel) and still own it, although it's not in use right now.
jdm56
Well, here we go.... My first system that didn't come from radio shack (not that there's anything wrong with that): Pioneer SA8500 60W/channel integrated amp, Technics tuner, Pioneer PL114D turntable, Pioneer CT...???? cassette deck, Pioneer 10-band EQ (you HAD to have an equalizer in the 70's!) and a lovely pair of walnut New Advents. Ah, those were the days, my friend![H]
