BLSamuel Posted September 29, 2008 Share Posted September 29, 2008 They may sound better than the Custom 3 (I'm guessing that's what you're referring to?) if you're able to get a better seal or just get a proper seal that's aligned better with the Image than the Custom 3. Or you just like the sound of the Images better. The Custom 3 are capable of providing "better" sound but "better" is all subjective though the Custom 3 are capable of delivering the widest smoothest response of the Klipsch IEMs. When I've tried the various Klipsch IEM, I didn't even bother with the Custom 3 as the IMAGE is so much more comfortable and easier to use. That's also true even I think for the new Image X5 and especially true for the original Image X10. Personally, I like the sound of the Image X5 better. Everybody's ear canals are different. YMMV.
