hifi
Textf> I picked up a pair of used Quartets the other day and one of the woofers is blown. I'm looking for a single K-10K, or some help on finding a substitute. I called Klipsch and was told these drivers are unavailable. They may have one in four or five months - it would be for a new HT speaker, and the specs will be the same. I'm way too compulsive to wait four months, so if anyone can help I'd be your grateful. HornEd
Trey Cannon, after speaking to you a few times on the phone... seeing your avatar just doesn't seem to fit. I mean you don't expect Mr. Nice Guy to be wearing Oakland Raider gear! The last time we spoke (a long time ago), I was asking about changing the motor board to make a center speaker out of a KLF-30... and you were kind enough to let me know how much Klipsch goes through to make them right... and even said that I might get a new motor board if my experiment fell short. Well, the experiment succeeded beyond my wildest hope for it. "3MAINS" around a BIGSCREEN is a concept that is going to be tough to improve upon. I've posted a photo that shows off the custom motor board. I just wanted to tell you and the Klipsch world that your patience, knowledge and "Klipsch mindedness" makes you a treasure far beyond Hope. I have never had better or more courteous, honest and direct tech support anywhere! Thanks again... and it's no wonder you stay so busy!
