JojoStreet
I got a blown thermal fuse (TH2) on my SUB-10. I just need the spec/rating or part# so I can buy it from a Radio Shack or Fry's or any electronics store. Thanks.
HiFi Heaven
Can you tell me where TH2 sits on the board? (I found TH3, = 8 ohms.) What did you replace TH2 with? I'm a tech, and don't want to spend $60 + shipping for Klipsch to fix it, and they won't release a schematic! THANKS!
JojoStreet
Because it was still under warranty, I took it back to Best Buy (Geek Squad) and they shipped it back to Klipsch and got it fixed w/o any cost to me. If I remember, TH2 is located on the topside of the main power board on the lower-center area.
troymade
I have a similarly dead Sub-10. I have 70 ohms on TH2. Certainly not "open", but not necessarily all that low either... Do you suppose this is the problem component on this board? Sounds like a guy can get it fixed for $60 from Klipsch and maybe others. Sounds like Rmac57 just had good luck on http://forums.klipsch.com/forums/t/93845.aspx?PageIndex=2 with a success post just a couple days ago... $60 and 10 days is probably worth avoiding the hassle for me.
