A key takeaway here is to just know that just because something doesn't appear "broken" to you, doesn't mean it wasn't. The upgrade was 100% necessary, for reasons I already explained. I know some people don't like change, and that's OK. Comes with the territory. As a web developer, I have to deal with that constantly. Things change daily in my world -- that's not even an exaggeration.

Agreed. It's due partially to the server. I also know the developers are constantly trying to improve the performance of that feature -- in fact, their latest Beta release (from today) promises great improvements to Activity Streams, so maybe it'll improve over time. It's slow for me as well.
The good news is it seems like since the search index is done, just about every other part of the forum is back to "normal", performance-wise.

It's my fault for not clearly explaining the new Q&A section's purpose and how to use it. It's not really built for conversations, but rather strictly Q&A (sort of like a stackexchange.com type of thing) - It remains to be seen if this type of forum area is really useful here, so it may go away if not.

Nope, you shouldn't worry. I just wanted to clean things up a bit. No harm-no foul. As i said above it's really on me for not clearly explaining some of the new things.

For some reason, I'm not able to enable the "delete from My Attachments Page" option. So, for now, you'll need to click into the post linked next to each attachment to edit that post and remove the attachment there.

In the old version, if you marked a forum as "read," it would not scroll back to the top. Instead, it maintained its current scroll position. Can the new version be tweaked to do that as well?
I don't see that behavior. It never scrolls me when I mark a forum as read.... hmmmmm

There is a button for Text Color, right next to "Size"... although you may only see it on desktop (not mobile)

A few people are saying the layout looks too "sterile".... whatever that means. I'm not sure how it look any more "sterile" than this: https://web.archive.org/web/20160715160251/https://community.klipsch.com/
Anyway, the themes are a work in progress. I'll continue to tweak them.
Thanks for your constructive feedback guys. Keep it coming... as long as it's constructive, not something like "it sucks! WHAAAA! (click)"

I've just added a new forum theme (selectable at the bottom of the page) for people who love darker colors and/or HATE the super-bright default theme. Just scroll down to the bottom and click the "theme" link.
Our themes are works-in-progress.

This really only applies to the "Q&A" forum type. Unfortunately, you can't set that as your default.
I can set it as default across the board though, which I may do, sinceit seems people are using this section for conversation more than Q&A - which I'm OK with, it's just not what was exactly intended.-

I see your point, but it's actually better UX design to have that slight "navigation intent delay" in most cases.
You could probably alter it for yourself with a browser extension, somehow.
If I have time I'll post the code here some day.

BTW liking the new layout. Great job.
If you use the Activity tab, you can view an Activity feed that shows you all posts that have been made since your last visit. I know that's not 100% what you are talking about, but it's something. There are also several other options there, and you can even make your own custom Activity feeds to see exactly what you want.
