  1. set your mains to 'small' and set the x-over to 80, not 100 like the last poster said.
  2. what sucks is that I am out of component inputs... so the xbox isn't hooked up unless it needs to be. Once I want to drop the $150 for a decent component switch, I will
  3. I also have COX and yes... the channel lineup is...well.. dissapointing. I get cbs, nbc, abc, hbo, showtime but for $10 a month it's not TOO bad considering how much the unit itself would run me.
  4. Now I just need some monday night football damnit! At long last the joy of full HD is in my home. I've waited WAAAAAAY too long.
  5. I'm starting my copy up in about 10 minutes !!!!! I've already watched many of the documentaries, just been waiting for my girlfriend to get home to start the movie itself.
  6. Regarding air flow : There is no backing on the shelf for the Denon, I just cut a portion big enough to fit the gap above the reciever but since the Denon sticks out past the back of the unit anyways, there is no backing directly behind it. The Denon is really the only thing that gets hot, other than the Lite-On dvd/divx player, but I usually just keep the glass door open when viewing a dvd anyways. The RB3 isn't ported so there's no need for an open backing
  7. Wow, I can't believe how much better everything looks after my little weekend project. I have been unhappy with how my electronics looked in my entertainment center, so I decided to fabricate two shelves over the weekend to seperate every component, as well as installed backing to the shelves, and I couldn't be happier with the results. The pictures from the finished product are horrible since I took them early this morning before I left for the office and my camera is sub-par in low light. Before : After :

  9. Well, looks like my host went down for the count for a bit, but I'm sure it will come back. The cabinets are just Ikea brand, everything you see there was under $400, if you believe that. Ikea is great for certain things. The channels are from home depot, they have many different sizes and lengths, I believe I bought 6 of those 5' channels in packages of 3 for $10 per package. They have an adhesive on one side, and are a one piece clamshell design.
  10. Just some shots of my living room setup. Toshiba 57" Cinema Series TV 57hdx82 Denon AVR1082 LiteOn Dvd/divx/xvid player Samsung VCR Motorolla Digital Cable Box Xbox Gamecube Dreamcast Klipsch Reference RB3 bookshelves Klipsch Reference RC3II Center Channel Klipsch Reference RS3II Surrounds Klipsch KSW12 Subwoofer Shuttle HTPC (custom) athlon xp 2200, 1gb pc2700, 180gb storage, Ati All in Wonder 8500, Extigy sound
  11. I am currently using RS3II's in the rear of my home theater, but cannot come up with a good place to put them. I have a young daughter who will destroy any speakers mounted on stands, and I cannot pull my couch away from the wall. On one wall to the side of my couch is a window, and on the other wall, well, there is no wall for about 25 feet, in the dining room. The ceiling is a vaulted design. So, you know, help me out here. I obviously won't be able to get this perfect, but anything is better than my current placement. The speakers are currently to the direct sides of my couch, placed on end tables. Very very bad. They are hard to see in the first pic, but you should be able to find them.
  12. Well, for one thing, I got a great deal on the rb3's, and I wasn't aware that people used the RC3 for mains. Also, I wanted to be able to fit the mains inside the entertainment unit to keep them out of reach of my daughter (16 months). It sounds superb, I'm just having trouble with mounting the rears.
  13. RB3's, RC3 II and some RS3 II's matched with a (for now) KSW12. Note the new LiteOn divx player at the top of the second image. I still need to figure out a good way to mount the rears, and I will post pics of the finished theater when I get it done.
  14. I picked up a bunch of reference goodies at tweeter in Escondido, CA for about 1/3 price
  15. oh, also, I won't be able to place the sub next to the mains at all since the entertainment unit takes up the ENTIRE wall, so the sub would be sitting in the middle of the room, which I will think about doing if I have to.
