  1. Yeah, I had a tv guy try to fix it. no luck. gonna try some magnets to help pull it back in. but at this point, I think i have the perfect excuse to geta HDTV when the prices drop a little more hhmmmmm, maybe I don't want to try too hard to fix the tv. ------------------ "The Legends Continue!"
  2. One more thing to check, because I had this problem with my KLF-20's, is the screws holding the magnet onto the horn. For me, it was midrange buzzing. When I took the speaker out, I noticed that a couple of the screws had worked loose. Tightened them down and volia, the buzz went away. Haven't heard it since. 3. You will most surely want to shield because I didn't know about my KLF20 not being shielded. Now my TV has permament damage probably. My problem was the effect was so slow that I didn't notice until it was too late. Then I discoverd that at the time no matter how I placed them, I couldn't get them far enough away from my tv to stop the problem. Not happy about it..but my fault really. boa12, they didn't send glue, I am surprised. I have moved so I didn't shield mine yet but am still planning on it. I love thier sound but boy watch placement. They are picky. I have a horrible time getting smooth bass in my room. Always sounds stronger about 1 1/2 ft behind the couch. at the couch, I just get horns. I don't bid on ubid becase I can't afford the grief I'd get if I had a big package arrive w/o my wife knowing about it first. Unless of course it is her Christmas present gnarly ------------------ "The Legends Continue!"
  4. quote: I'm just curious why you say not to put the SVS in the corner? Yeah me too, almost evrything I have ever heard is to put a sub in a corner. or atleast make sure you test it there.... is it because these are so strong? From my last post earlier, I am considering the SVS20-39 sub. Just kind of figured it would go in the corner behind my KLF-20. You know hide it from my 9month old son. 5. LOL, thanks for the responses so fast. I was planning doing a little listening but we really only have circrap city and Tweeter. They are ok but never seem to have decent stuff. Or in the case of circrap city, everything is blown by people who don't know whay they are doing. (would never buy open box at that store!) I will most certainly check out the SVS stuff, have been reading thier web site since I made this post and am liking what I see. I think they have my prefrences in mind. I like accurate bass. Not much for the boomy stuff. Beside, I bet the SVS's hide pretty well behind the KLF's They look like they are about the same size. Thanks again! gnarly ------------------ "The Legends Continue!"
  6. Hello, Considering subs for my HT setup, the KLF-20's. Looking for musical as much as LFE. Any reccommendations. Was looking at the KSW, not sure I can afford the new ones. Also, looking at the SVS powered series. Tho I feel almost like a traitor saying that on the Klipsch site (unless Klipsch owns them???? would explain why they remain so quite about the other company) Anyway, that is the price range I am considering. The sub$1000. Thanks for the help Matt ------------------ "The Legends Continue!"
  7. I come from the "probably doesn't make a lick of difference" dept and think it is sad that Klipsch has to resort to advertising Monster Cable to sell speakers. ------------------ "The Legends Continue!"
