Currently, there is no converter to use via the lightning connector. You have to use the "Lightning to 30-pin Adapter" in conjunction with an "Apple Composite AV Cable" to get audio to your Pre and/or Amp.
CAN the lightning port be used?

I have an older version iPad so I use the headphone minijack connector.

I connect the analog out from my iPad into the aux input of my AES AE-1 Pre. The signal coming from the iPad is weak so you have to crank up the volume somewhat but it works fine for me.

You and your family are in my prayers! Please remember us on the other side.
"The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul:
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name' sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil: For thou art with me;
Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies;
Thou annointest my head with oil; My cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the House of the Lord forever."Psalms 23.

I concur. The point is he started the bid at $750 to raise interest since he had no interest. Had someone bid, he would have to sell at that price. But he WOULD NOT SELL TO FORUM MEMBER for that price. Everything else is irrelevant no matter what he thought.
No confusion that I can see.

How are these compare to Heresy?

Fat chance!
Wish my sister would give me some klipsch speakers lol.
What bother me is that her husband is a conductor and thinks the sound of Bose is better then Klipsch. Personally, I have no respect for Dr. Bose and I think he's a gimmick!
-
The very first pair of Klipsch I bought about ten years ago was RF-7s which I gave to my sister. And I will say again, they don't compare to Cornwalls!
It's almost a 100% chance that these same guys claiming this have never had the RF-7 in their home.
-
RF7 IIs are no match for Cornwalls, i.e. References don't compare to Heritages!
Just bought these and cant wait to do a battle with the RF-7iis . The quartet battle was pretty one sided with the rf-7ii being head and shoulders better in all areas. But these corns are fricking HUGE!!! and sounded amazing when i heard them on a crapy avr he had. So cant wait to get them hooked

Responded to your PM, Tim.

I want the Pro Heresy's but have no plan for a road trip anytime soon (nearly 1900 miles round-trip). If no one wants them, will you keep them for me?
-
Will you ship the Pro Heresy's?

Gorgeous looking 'Scala, Bruce.

This is actually a Synergy 7.1 system instead of 5.1 system in near-mint condition and I manage to get them for $400. The system consists of F-1 Fronts, C-1 Center, S-1 Surrounds, S-1 Surround Backs and Sub-10 Subwoofer. In term of sound quality, how does it fare against an all Heritage system?
-
$425 in mint cosmetic condition.
Depending on the price, they can be a great HT. What is the asking price?
-
No one has this system? I have read some excellent reviews on this system but I need some impression here on this forum. Someone here got to own this system so please give me some feedback.
-
Yup!
You guys do realize that I was trying to be humorous, right?
Amen to that! This is the fast track to chapter 7/13.
If you have the room, (or even if you don't) I suggest buying many more examples of Klipsch Heritage speakers.

The complete Klipsch Synergy F-1 Home Threatre System consists of F-1 Fronts, C-1 Center, S-1 Surrounds and Sub-10 Subwoofer. It retails for $1,350 new a few years ago. Can anybody give me some impression of this system? What is a reasonable used price if the system is in excellent cosmetic condition? Thanks.

Tim, will you ship them?
From Florida to Oregon round-trip is a LONG way!
Tuesday bump, was sure thinking these would go fast, I'm sure it would be an easier decision if you saw and heard them in person. As a local pickup I would have no problem with a thorough demo, One might even want to bring their amp of choice along

thaddeussmith, if you are the one depicted by your avatar, then you're a a close personal in my inner-circle.
Music server with 16/44.1 or 24/96 FLAC files. It doesn't make for very compelling "audiophile" gear porn since you only need one or two components to play the media, but it sure sounds just as good.

I don't disagree with the previous two posts. However, IMO, this is a good sub for the price (I paid $160 3 years ago) considering that you have it for 7 years. Don't throw it away just yet. Check the original fuse and make sure that the new fuses are the same. It also happened to me. The original fuse blowed about six months ago. I replaced with what I thought a slow-blow fuse. Three blown fuse and some clicking sound that pointed to the plate amp. I opened up the amp and check the circuit and found nothing. I checked the new fuses against the old and it turned out that they are not what RS claimed.

Ditto!
Vinyl all the way baby.

I wonder how a pair of La Scalas made out of pure aluminum would sound.
