  1. I have a pair of KLF 20's I just acquired and I dont want to screw them up with a Sony amp that I have. I have heard clipping is something that will blow my tweeters. What is it and what should I listen for?
  2. Can anyone suggest an integrated amplifier? And what is clipping-how do I know its happening? I just purchased some KLF 20's and want to enjoy. I listen 50/50 music and HT. My budget is $500, hopefully that would work.
  3. I think thats pretty much the scoop, using the decoder. I saw it on sale for $100. With an eq and a remote it seems worth the price, allowing for some serious flexiblity.
  4. Trying to build a great home theater system at incremental costs and have something good for the pc as well. Could I use RS35 bookshelf speakers and RCW in wall speakers as upgrades to my Ultra 5.1 with receiver? Later on upgrading the amplifier and center speakers? Would it sound good or is it a mismatch? Has anyone done this?

  7. thanks everyone for their good input. My questions were answered. As much as I would love to rock the klf 20's I do want a balanced home theater set up. I understand their is a shielding issue and amplifier preferences with the 20s as well. I was trying to decide whether I wanted to purchase a pair for the real beginnings of my system.
  8. I noticed the current front floorstanding speakers have a high frequency crossover at 2300Hz. What is the impact of using/listening to Legend KLF 20 speakers as fronts with a higher frequency crossover at 7000Hz? Impact on two channel stereo? As part of a home theater system where the surrounds and centers have a freqency crossover at 2200Hz?
