Formica, How hard was it to build your ported inclosure? Would a Brahma 12 now work in a ported tuned around 18-20Hz, or is the 15 still better like Fire Pinch suggested?
-
I just took some pictures of my system. Not with a digital camera though, I hope they look halfway decent when I get them on here. now I just have to get them developed. Probably tomorrow or Tuesday. By the way, are those klipsch speakers you have?
-
Wow, looks alot better! Now only if I could get rid of my queen size bed, my room is only 10-1/2 ft. square with 8 ft. ceilings. Have you tested your sub with music and movies? I would like to know how it sounds.

What are some damping materials you reccomend?
-
Did you fill your box with polyfill or a soundeadener? Would it make a difference in sound?
-
Allright, thanks. That winisd pro is pretty cool. I've been messing with it since last night. With 830 watts to a Brahma 15 in a 2.857 ft.^3 box I get a regular SPL of about 115-116dB at 50Hz on up. A max of 118-119dB at 50Hz on up. Only 103dB at 20 Hz, it seems a little low. I don't mess with the plot though. What should I have the series resistance at? With the signal generator is it possible to put in your own signals, instead of 10-100-200 etc.

So a 12" Brahma would be bad to use in a home, and a 15" Brahma good.
-
Say one was also considering a Brahma 12, it is not reccomended for home use, what kind of problems would one run into?

Here is an MKII, but it doesn't have the bull on th econe, is it the same? Only reason I'm asking is because it's a couple $'s cheaper. http://www.speedsound.com/caraudio.asp?pg=products&specific=jmrornfpo

Now I'm leaning more towards the brahma, but only time will tell. How hard is it to build your own box? Simple sealed enclosure with roughly 2.5 ft.^3. Shouldn't be too hard. My stepdad likes to build things arounf the house so maybe I'll just have him help me when it comes down to it. Thanks man, you've been a big help.

But I do not need gobs of power to fill my 10 ft. square room. So the Brahma 15 mark II is another good choice or not? Sorry bout all the questions, I just like all the info you are giving me here, THANKS!

I'm curious, how would the 15" Brahma sound in comparison to the Tumult? It has a box recc. of 1.5-3 cu. feet. And would only need 800 watts to power in a box roughly 2.85 ft. cu.

Sound Distributors not listing Klipsch anymore

What is the website name, I'm curious. -
Cool pictures man. Did you take them with a digital camera? That amp is huge, and nice too. Did you build your own box from scratch? Or did you get it as a kit and put it together? Anyways, nice pics. That cd on your website inside the sub cone is sweet, that sub is a monster. Thanks for lettin us take a look.

When do we get to see more photos?

I've been fooling around with a this calculator. http://www.eatel.net/~amptech/elecdisc/spboxnew2.htm I will probably use 3/4" wood. What is a good sealed size for this sub?
-
I would like a sealed inclosure for the AV12. Size is kind of an issue.
-
Which would you reccomend out of these? http://www.acoustic-visions.com/~acoustic/products/subwoofers/enclosures/pricing.shtml

Is there a website with pre-made home subwoofer boxes? I've narrowed my search to an AV12 and an RMX850 for $474 without box. I just don't think I need all the power and displacement of the Tumult because my room is small,10x10x8ft. What are the wiring options for the AV12? I'll be ordering from here. http://www.acoustic-visions.com/~acoustic/products/subwoofer_drivers/stryke_av12-15/

I think Halo was built by the Forerunner. I could be wrong though.
-
I looked over at PE and found some adapters you reccomended. I still like the Tumult though. Are you going to put more pictures up of your finished product yet?
-
Does the QSC amp I mentioned have regular RCA jacks? If not thats going to be a problem.
-
I would most definately use the sub in a sealed inclosure. The Blueprint 1503 looks more of what I'm looking for , a 15". How would that one compare to a Tumult? Same amp.I'm just looking for the best sub, because this is alot of money to be dealin with.

Scratch that last post, I still haven't decided. I found an amp on PE, similar to Fire Pinches,a QSC. It is $1 more than the plate. http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&User_ID=15745375&St=8519&St2=44620321&St3=47976282&DS_ID=3&Product_ID=5458&DID=7 If I use this amp will the Tumult be better? Not putting cost into consideration. Does this amp have regualr RCA jacks, white and red.
