well not much is posted here about foreign films so I though i would throw in something for those looking for a we tad bit change... All 4 films are Asian films .. all have really great sound to them... all have subtitles. 1st on the list " Together " Directed by Chen Kaige .. if you like classical music this movie has a very well pieced sound track. 5.1 Dolby . You can actually pick this movie up @ Blockbuster ,,, it was released last year here in the states under MGM . 2nd up " Memories of Murder " this film was made in Korea based on a true story of Korea's first ever recorded serial killer Between the years of 1986 and 1991... it's a really dark film excellent acting , directing and over all 4 stars. This movie is based on a true story so knowing adds to the films touch... hmm scary thing is 10 women murdered all in the same grotesque and brutal manner they never caught the killer. sad movie dark but still very well made movie. it's not really horror movie just a thriller. Sound is in DTS ES & DD surround -EX English Subtitles . 3rd . " J.S.A Joint Security Area " Korean movie . this is a military thriller / action movie ... based on the the DMZ . placed in modern time Korea. 4th movie " Wonderful Days " this is a killer Animation film .. English Subbed. Korean film again... the Anime is a mix of cell shaded and digital & Hand shaded cell ... 5.1 DD & 5.1 DTS . Movies 2 -4 are all dual region coded 1 & 3 . so works on US and region 3 players. I just got back for Korea not to long ago and this was my 3rd trip. I have to say the new Movies coming out of Korea really blew me away. They have found how to put together some really good films and hardly any of them had sappy Hollywood endings. I saw a couple where the bad guy actually wins and few the good guy at the end still gets blown away ... Oh and instead of taking DVD's home to rent . they have DVD places where you rent the the DVD go to a nice room the is set up like a personal home theater and you get to watch the movie eat drink and relax . 5.1 & some had 7 speaker systems set up in each room with nice leather sofas to plant yourself or you and your friends down on and watch as many DVDs as you please anytime 24/7 .

I agree with everyone get the GameCube.If anything the price is not to high and a lot less that the other game boxes... the GameCube has more games that are based where the whole family could play together which are non-adult themed. THe graphic are actuall better than the PS2.

I use them from time to time ... but it normally it's when the game like A FPS turns into some non FSP based game where the Dev decided to throw in a bunch of old 16bit Mario based jumps in the game ... U must run and jump only on section / pixel " A " and then jump to the ledge above on pixel b.... and repeat for through the whole level. after I beat the game I may replay the game and throw in the odd cheats like in some game where u can turn the bad guys / gals into chickens or like in one RPG make cows come falling from the heavens...

this movie everyone should rent or own, just for it's music score .. if you're into classical ... Together. It's a Chinese based film so u have to go with Subtitles... But the music though out the film is great. U can't help but maxing out the volume when watching it. the Film is released by MGM in the states. For Music Glen Danzig : Black Aria . It's actually classical based music, 360 turn from his punk and hard rock roots. If you like bass and dark mood Classical this will have your sub humming the entire CD. . Also the Anime Jin-Roh is pretty good on the surround aspect. If you can play multi regions on your DVD grab the original Japanese DVD .it comes in DD5.1 or DTS . The films US release is a little week on the digital sound... And if watch it dubbed in English the voice over really is poor and translation is bad. but the Subbed Japanese version and US version is done well. In this Anime the environmental effects are top notch. when someone is running in the sewer behind the character u actually feel like someone is behind out or it the character is between two people and the people are talking u feel like u r stuck between the two people ... IN the beginning there is a part that has u in the sewers... there's a huge fire fight... the sound is muffled on purp. the director wanted to give the effect of how one would feel / hear ", when a ton of bullets are fired in a closed space .. the cuncusion of the burst fire and the echoing of sound would litterally make your ears clog up and have a ringing muffled sound..hard to truly translate japanese to english and his meaning completely, The Movie is an excellent flick... too. the plot and story line is made for adults. total mind trip at the end in away.
