  1. To you ALL!!!I love my Radeon he he he And i LOVE MY PRO'S :C=
  2. Sam_D, you posted my exact same thoughts when i first read the thread.
  3. HAAACKKKKK, COOUUUGGHHH!!! Ahem, s'cuse me. The sound is pretty well split evenly, i haven't noticed any probs while watching movies. I watch tones, rent at least 2 to 4 movies a week. Even makes bad movies fun to watch. "ie. Battlefield Earth, Godzilla 2000"
  4. LOL J!!! I would, for the xtra $50 you get new cp-1 (on/stby switch, headphone jack, mp3 player jack) + improved xovers. But the original pro's are still wicked too.
  5. quote: are the volume levels pretty good for watching dvd's? ARE YOU SH*TTING ME???? ARRGGGHHH, HAAACKKKKK, COOUUUGGHHH!!! Ahem, s'cuse me DVD'S sound AMAZING on the pro's dude! (keep in mind this is a pc setup not a HT setup) It's still pretty freakin' loud. There hasen't been a dvd that i could watch past 80% pro. volume and 90% pc volmue. FLOOR SHAKES, WALLS SHAKE, CHAIR SHAKES AND PRINTER'S PAPER TRAY MAKES A HELL OF A RACKET!! (HP deffect i guess, he he) As long as you got front and rear out. on you s/c, your all set
  6. Welllllllllllllllll, THE HELL WITH IT !! I got it set at 1024x768 and adjusted it the best i can (screwed it up real good!!!, but after an hour or so got it back relitavely ok i think). HHHHHRRRRRRMMMMMMMFFFFFF!!!! I'l see how it goes over time, if i can stop thinking abbout it and not notice it while i'm doing layouts in Illustrator (commercial sign work) Also learning 3DStudio Max v2.5 and the interface is full of hor. and ver. lines so it helped adjust mon. word to the wise: If your mon. is ok, DON'T MESS WITH IT !!!!
  7. Thanks for the replys guys, i tried all other res. and i get the same effect. I guess i don't notice it much at 800x600 because everything is so big. Well that will be one thing to be aware of next time i purchase a monitor. Too bad. Would this be common with non-flat screen monitors?
  8. Hey Paragon! I think they call that noise "Degauzing" or something like that. Yes it is good for the monitor and you can make it click on the fly. I was just wondering if there was some setting that i didn't know about. I think that's just the way it interprets the image. Deffect or not i'm not going to bother trying to fix it. Works fine at 800x600. Thanks for your input
  9. quote: (and thaT sound it make when you start it up .. scary) TOOOIIIIINNNGGGGGGG!!!!!!...........CLICKc> LOL!!! Thanks for the reply m@verick. I've put it back to 800x600 and it's fine. At the higher resolution 1024x768(i didn't try others), the distortion is more in the interpretation of the image rather than screen size distortion. If i select an icon and drag it left to right i can see it sqeeze(real time) as i get closer to the edges. No big deal, i don't mind 800x600, i play games(Deus Ex, NOLF and soon UT) watch dvd's and play mp3's ON MY PRO'S OF COURRSSSEEEE!!! And the image is fine. I realize that this was a monitor of average quality, it's not cheap but it's definitely not top of the line. Next one will. (hope not soon, damn their expensive)
  10. Yeah J. I streched it to max. vertical and hor. within the viewable area. I don't want to use the radeon's monitor streching tools. Everytime you click on an increment the monitor flicks. (not a defect, that's how the radeon works) I'm using win. 98. (no probs with it) I think that's just how the monitor's tube reacts to those settings. Another ex. is my recycle bin icon looks fine when in center of screen but when moved to the side, it's like it's been squeezed.
  11. I've just tried to switch from 800x600(i know, i'm late in the ballgame) to 1024x768. I was starting to really like it and then i noticed that objects close to the sides of the screen(right left) were very compressed. (ex. in illustrator if i have a circle in the center of the screen, it looks perfect. When i move it to either side it becomes an oval.) I tried adjusting monitor settings but the only thing that did was really screw things up.(took me half an hour to get it back wright) This doesn't happen when in 800x600. Could it be cheap monitor??? I don't think i've made a bad choice. Viewsonic E790. Vid card btw is Radeon 32m ddr, if that's important or not.
  12. Heck Sam_D, i've been trying to find an individual pc subwoofer without any luck. I'm sure there are some out there (doubt they surpass the Klipsch sub) Short but buying a HT sub with an ext. amp connected to your pc i don't know what else would work.
  13. Sam_D, i think Silver00Spike and janko10 were distracted by THE AWSOME POWER OF CHEESE !!!!c>
  14. Told you janko10 he he Ok maybee your no expert Gluegun but sure as hell you had some info on it
  15. LOL!!! quote: "Dis monitor is berry berry good. Top of the line, look at size, berry berry big. You like? You buy today. Berry berry good, no? You buy? OK, berry good monitor." Sorry i can't help you dude but that was funny BTW i got Viewsonic e790 and am very pleased with it. Good price and so far after 14 months still looking like new. To bad it sounds like proview is a nasty co.
  16. Oh s**t man, ask Gluegun. He seems to be the expert on the AE arround here.
  17. This was a previous thread janko10. http://www.klipsch.com/ubb/Forum10/HTML/003129.html
  18. I was playing random mp3's today and noticed "Rush" sounded superb on the pro's. Lots of highs, lows and mids. Just figured I'd drop my two cents.
  19. Is there not a software application related to your soundcard? Not the windows audio settings but a creative program. I don't know about your card, i got x-gamer and i have a folder in my start/programs/creative/(a whole bunch of prog.) Including creative launcher. Hope this helps.
  20. You're right Dragonmaster You don't get anything unless you ask. It don't help that there's a lot of sarcastic sob's in this forum. (me beign one of them)
  21. quote: FYI, I am an attorney in NYC working at one of the largest law firms in the world. Hell man, you probably make more an hour then what the promedia's cost. Don't be so cheap as to want to buy the sats seperately. Why don't you donate your existing set to your local charity. he he. poke poke, it's just a joke
