  1. A KLF-C7 sits on top of my 50" Toshiba without any problems, and I don't think the speaker magnet can cause the problem you are describing with a rear-projection TV. Is is possible the weight of your speaker is causing the top of your TV to bow, thereby bending or distorting the screen?
  2. garymd, how do you accept payments from international buyers? Is it "safe"?
  3. Good2BHome has the best advice. He's probably had a business law class. Never lie during a business transaction. It will void contracts and opens you up to too much liability. Besides, lying is just WRONG!! Remember??
  4. I don't know if this helps, but there is a decal that says "Made in Mexico".
  5. You're right. I thought the KG5.5 had hi/low inputs, but now I know they don't. The Forte and Chorus are 3-way speakers, so they're ruled out. These are from something having only one tweeter and two woofers. The attached pic shows the lines coming in (+INL/-INL) with the red and black wires going out for the woofers (-1W/+1W/-2W/+2W). The green wire is hooked to the other board and is for the tweeter. I'll take a look at the other side of the board. Meanwhile any help would still be appreciated. Thanks, Rick.
  6. OOPS! I just realized my first picture didn't show up. Sorry about that, especially to lynnm. This should have a pic of the crossover network attached.
  7. Thanks for the help guys. I'm sure these are used in a two-way speaker with two woofers and one tweeter. They also have separate inputs for the high and low frequencies. There have been several Klipsch models with this array....RF-7, CF-3, CF-4, KG-5.2, and KG-5.5....probably more. I have to believe Klipsch made more than one input/crossover network for all these models. Isn't there a way to tell which ones these are? BTW, I'm wanting to sell these when I find out what they're worth, so any help would be appreciated. Again, thanks for the help. lynnm, Did you see both pictures? One shows the input terminals and one shows the crossover network.....trust me.
  8. I have a pair of these crossovers, but don't know which Klipsch speaker they came from. They are about 7.5" x 5" and are designed for a speaker with two woofers and one tweeter. The inputs have gold binding posts, with bi-amp inputs. I'll post another message with a picture of the input side. Any help identifying these would be appreciated.
  9. I've been told they are all 4 ohm woofers.
  10. Hi Rich, Thanks for the response. The subwoofer amp does get warm to the touch, but not scorching hot. It is connected to the receiver through the low level inputs. The same Denon 1082 receiver is normally hooked up to dual SVS subs and works fine. I've never tried the high level (speaker wire) inputs. The sub's amplifier apparently needs repaired. I'm really hoping someone can tell me which part is failing. I could (probably) do the repair if I just knew what to replace. If not, maybe someone could tell me where to get this fixed for less the the $240 flat rate that Klipsch charges. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Rick.
  11. I have an SW-12II sub that plays fine for about one hour, then shuts down. This happens regardless of volume or gain settings. Does anyone know why this would happen and how to fix it? Thanks, Rick.
  12. OK. I talked to Steve in Klipsch tech support today. He says the K-48 has the same specs as the K-48-K and K-48-KE, just different suppliers. This is great news for me, since it turns out I just bought a brand new $236 woofer for my Chorus for $20! Thanks again everbody!
  13. I guess you're never too old to learn......Thanks for the help!
  14. Thanks for the reply, but isn't the Chorus woofer is supposed to be a K-48-E? Are there any differences between these two and does the Chorus (or any other 8 ohm speaker) really use a 4 ohm woofer?
  15. Can anyone tell me what a Klipsch K-48 woofer is used in? It's a 15", 4 ohm woofer. I am including a picture of the label. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Rick.
