  1. I run the same setup. You should definitely set the new RF7s as sides. I put them to the side and a little bit behind the sweet spot. I use them for multi channel music and movies. I run them with a B&K Ref 50 and 200.5. They sound great! You really need to move them around, try toeing them in, until you find the best way to set them. I ended up toeing them all in toward the center, then moved them out so they don't point directly at the listener.

    Congratulations! You will like them.1.gif

  2. Hello BruinsFan,

Yes room size is an issue. I did not want to walk through the middle of the room to avoid the speakers either (MAF). I have my rf7s about 16 inches from the wall, but they are toed in toward the center of the room. So that seems to give the ports some more room to breath.

  3. I use rf7s front and back. I have a room of similar size and listen to a lot of music and movies. I used dispersion surround speakers, and they just confused my ears with all the reflections off the sheetrock walls.

  4. I don't know if all sony es is equal. But I thought the 333ES that I used for some time was a little bright. I biased the eq heavily toward the low end and middle. It was very handy though, the way sony components would talk, and power on other parts.
