There is a nice set of chorus2s in black on audiogon now and 500.00 I think.

Smart.Chorus2.I just recently started using tubes myself.

I do know from experience that the chorus2 sound better than the forte2, I have had both. I am a klipschorn man, but when my home will not permit khorns, I always find a set of chorus2s, I am on my 2nd set of them, this is the 2nd time in my life that I have moved into a house that dosent have corners for k-horns,I have had 2 sets of them also. I have tried the forte2, and missed the chorus2.I am interested in trying the belle, anyone compare to chorus2s?

Chorus, of course, unless the budget wont allow.

What interconnect cables would you guys with similar setups to my blueberry, bottlehead 2a3, and of course my adcom GCD750 player. Please help, cables are very expensive, and dont want to screw up on this purchase. What do you think of the kimber silver streak? What is best for my combo? Thanks again for help, Rob

Im not really replacing, I will keep my sunfire 600 two, but I will also use it with the blueberry. Every now and then, I crave eye blurring rock-n-roll. This upgrade started with the purchase of a dared 12 watt pp intergrade, and it out performed the sunfire at low volume. I cant wait to here the paramours set sound, I will keep everyone posted with results. I also have a sunfire 300 two looking for a new home, if anyone is intrested, say 850.00 takes it.

Man seems like a long time since the forum has been working right for me. I took what I have learned hear on the forum, and now have a blueberry pre-amp. I also purchased a set of Bottle Head 2a3 mono blocks that will be here next week. I am like a kid waiting for santa clause, I cant wait to hear my chorus2s with this equipment. I am curious to see how it will compare to my sunfire equipment{ I bet it will smoke it} Rob

THanks for the upgade info. It looks like Ill have 850 in the amp with upgrades. At this money is it still worth it? Also, I notice you are using the blueberry, I am bidding on a dealer demo blueberry pre amp right now. Anyone using this amp. I won it today on e-bay, didnt expect to win, I had bid on three different amps,and already took possesion of another. I am going to receive this one soon, is it any good? Dont stat arguing!

so all the hype about 300 bs, is just hype? I looked at he quads on audiogon, however after reading other posts they seem to have un-desireable tubes. I just want to buy the right stuff this time.

Ok, finally done it, after years of diferent k-horns and chorus2s, I have always used good solid state amps. After buying my current set of chorus2s I started coming to this forum. The talk hear is tubes and klipcsh. 15 years ago,when I had my first k-horn, I purchased 2 adcom gfa555 amps, bridged em mono and let em crank. A fellow audiophile told me "Rob Klipsch are buit for tubes" what did he know? 12 watts hugh? he dont know nothin. Well he and all of you are right. I just took delivery last week of a Dared v16 12 watt tube amp.I wentas cheap as I could to see if it would be worth it I cannot beleive what I am hearing. I also took advise from fellow forum members and replaced the tubes wit nos red base 6sl7 and 6v6 jj telsas. Ok to the point, what I would like is your opinion of what is the best tube pre and tube amp to use. What type of tubes are the best to go with for my speakers. I know there are alot of mixed opinions out there, but I am ready to buy some real gear. I dont need a whole lot of power, just the right tubes. I would like to have a little more base than what the dared has and more of that spacious transparent sound. I have heard of moondogs, 300b or what?, I would like to keep below 2000$ thanks to all of you for helping me find the beauty of tube amplification.Oh yea also shoul I get a set or p.p.? I am ready for sweetness.

Im using 2 amps to a pair of chorus2s, however I just ran 2 seperate sets of speaker wire with bannana connectors to make amp change a breeze.

Klipschorns do image well, just not very well for there price range. They are very old technology, and were designed to be used with tubes. They are great speakers, however, they are not worth fighting about, unless someone steals them, GET A LIFE.

Love it! unreal 375 with shipping and blows the sound off my 3000$ sunfire! Already orderd tubes, had em ship em 2nd day. I notice that in my right stpeaker I hear a faint cracle/buzz that comes and goes. If I watch one of the 6v6`s little flame seems to throb on and off faintley with noise I hear. Is this common? It starting to drive me nuts. Between songs you can hear it, I unhooked inputs and that dont cange nothing. Bad Tube? bad ground? HELP!!! I am currently listening to all my favorit discs over, UNREAL!!!

CRANK EM UP!!! I run 600 through my chorus`, concert in your listening room. I am however listening to my new(just came today) 12 watt tube, and I cannot belive the beauty of my speakers. I have a feeling I am going to turn into a tube man. Let your ears ring for awile,it will do em some good, huh?

You have never heard a set of nautilus 801`s. Find some and listen, you have never imagined music will do what youll hear. It is like going to a NHRA top fuel meet for the first time. You cant compare a 1953 Harley to a new v-rod in performance.Simmilar compareson.

There is nothing as loud as a Klipchorn, however, when the db goes down the quality needs to go up.

Youve never heard a set of Nautilus 801, check around before you compare a klipschorn to these, I have heard some very exotic speakers, mart.log.k-horns,dalaquist,hi end infinity,vmps super tower-r ribbon and a few others if I think a while. Go to b&w site and check out exactly what you are comparing to. Rob
