  1. Hello, I owned the Ultra II subs and the DD15 at the same time. The Ultra II subs were better in my opinion, I sold them recently to RichardP. I sold the DD15 long ago, I now have the DD18 it is better by a slight margine in my opinion in my room. I also have the Def Tech Trinity I still am playing with it. I ordered a RT12d and it will be here in July. I am curious to hear the new Klipsch sub. I really am thinking about getting the DTS 20 but my room is only 15 x 18 two much sub maybe?? Just my two cents. rmlowz

  3. Hello Richard, It was a pleasure to meet you and doing business with you. I hope you enjoy the subs for many years to come also. Take Care, rmlowz

    New RT-12d

Hello BobG, Thank you for the info. I could not stand it any longer and just ordered one RT12d from my local Klipsch dealer he said June also. I can always get another one later. I have a pair of RF83s a 64 center and 62 surrounds that I might put it with that system. I will set it up first in the Ultra II room that I have and give it a test. Thanks, rmlowz

    New RT-12d

Hello BobG, Please give us a date when the new referance subs will be shipping to our local Klipsch dealers. I am thinking on buying one 12d to add to the two Ultra subs or get rid of the Ultras and get two 12ds. What do you think? rmlowz
  8. Thanks for the info BobG, I think I will try a a pair of the 12ds. In placment of my UltraII subs I may have got lucky because it sounds unbelievable. I have a sub with room correction in another room it does make a differance. Thanks, rmlowz
  9. Hello, Bob, I own the Klipsch Ultra II system and was curious to know, if I bought two of the new12d referance subs would this be a upgrade from the UltraII subs? The price of MSRP is about the same. Thanks, rmlowz
  10. Hello, tkdamerica, as far as horns go I own the THX Ultar II system and they are as nuetral as it gets. My ears tell me that the 83s are close to the 650s but a much bigger soundstage. When you go listen to the 83s I beleive you will agree that horn does not sound anything like the RF7 horn. In my opinion a much more neutral speaker. To the forum member in Beaumont I hope he left that 99 cent part in his RF7s when he put them out on the curb for trash day. rmlowz
  11. Hello, If you own a pair of the RF7s you owe it to yourself to go to your nearest Klipsch dealer and listen to the RF83s. I owned a pair of RF7s for about four months to harsh for my ears with a Aragon 2007 and a Parasound C2, the Parasound 2205 amp I had did not sound any better with the RF7s at my house, Nobody likes to hear about the newest sounding better including myself. My ears and wallet just accept it . I sell the old or set them out at the curb for trash day like the forum member from Beaumont Texas is going to do.Thats is what we do here in Texas. The neighbor kids love me and own some fine speakers. I am getting ready for a long hot summer and ordered a pair of 83s a 64 center and a pair of 62s for the rears. Take Care, rmlowz
  12. Hello, If I had the room that is the one I would buy. rmlowz
  13. Hello Q-man, The Danley sub I think is in a whole other league in my opinion. From what I have heard about them you buy the Danley and your are set for many years to come. rmlowz
  14. Hello Q-man, I have the Ultra II subs all boxed up. I just got the DD-18 I am thinking of unboxing them this weekend and doing a side by side comparison. I had a DD15 when I got the Ultras and the Ultras blew the DD15 away. The Velodyne DD18 is a totally different sound than the Ultras. If my memory is right and not doing a side by side yet I think the DD18 might go lower on the few demos I have done so far. The Def Tech Trinity will rattle the can lighting in my ceiling. My ears and chest tell me that the Trinity goes the lowest. I like what I call the mid bass on the Ultras the best . There is trade offs on all products as you know. This has been a life long hobby that at 49 I still enjoy very much. rmlowz
  15. Hello kde I think all the Klipsch dealers in town are good ones .I don't know what you had in mind as far as calibration goes. I just bought a Velodyne SMS1 and it does a great job on the subs I have. which are a Def Tech Trinity, Velodyne DD18 and the Klipsch Ultra II subs.
  16. Hello kde, Where did you buy the Ultra II system in Austin? rmlowz
  17. Hello, These subs get all the rave on all of the forums that I belong to. Honestly I am surprised they are not sold yet, maybe its bad timing it is tax season?? If you like to feel the bass along with hearing it look no further. If you buy new or used you will not be disappointed. rmlowz
  18. Hello BobG, I was wondering do the RF83s play as loud as my Klipsch Ultra II set up without any break up or strain. Thanks for your reply, rmlowz
  19. Hello tsmalls, In your review of the RF 83s you said they can play loud. Can they play as loud as my Klipsch THX Ultra set up ? Thanks, rmlowz
  20. Hello Chris, No problem, I was hoping someone would see this in my area because I may be wrong but shipping would be expensive.I don't think the Austin area is Klipsch country. They don't know what they are missing in my opinion. Take Care, Rich
  21. My new room will be to small for this combo. $2,500.00 local pick up preferred. I don't need to say much on the performance of this combo. rmlowz
  22. Price lowered to $1,000.00 for the pair rmlowz
  23. Hello colterphoto1, The Klipsch THX Ultra is the best system I have owned. The system before the Klipsch was the Snell Acoustics THX the Klipsch blew it away with ease. I change out about once a year. I now have Def Tech 7000SCs and matching center with the Trinity sub and 4 of the powered surrounds. The new system has been a lot of fun. One thing I will add, is I brought home on loan this weekend is the new RC64 reference center to play around with. If the RF83s sound like this center it does not get any more neutral than this in my opinion. rmlowz
