  1. I'm now looking at the new Denon AVR-2105. Any comments on this one?
  2. Well, the girlfriend likes the looks of the 20-39 PC Plus so it seems we'll be going with that.
  3. Does anyone know if a special edition DVD is on the way or is it safe to go down and pick one up today at BB? I don't want to buy a regular one when another version hits the market in the future.
  4. I don't think power is an issue because my Onkyo 575X is 70W per channel and I listen to it at -12db for movies. The AVR-1905 has Pro Logic IIx and High-grade Up Conversion which are two new features. Are they worth it to buy a newer unit?
  5. OK, I contected both HSU and SVS today. HSU recommended the VTF-3 Mk2 $699 SVS recommended either the 20-39 PC Plus $825 or the PB2-ISD @ $899 HSU is cheaper so I'll look at that unless you guys know different. I'm not buying for about 2 weeks so I got time to look around.
  6. $450 is the price limit. New or Factory Reconditioned? I'm thinking of the AVR-1082 but is there something else out there I should consider? What about the AVR-1705 or AVR-1905??? listening area is 13.5x24x7.5
  7. I'm leaning towards the SVS, which model should I get?
  8. Will a 10" be too small for my room?
  9. OK Guys, my specs are below. Currently I'm using a Pioneer S-W100 for a sub (12" woofer) but I'm ready to get something better to match my Klipsch speakers. The room all this is in is 13.5'x24'x7,5'. My budget is about $600. Could someone please give me thier recommendations?
  10. I just got my DENON DVD-2200 player in today and I want to buy the connections for Multi-channel Audio (ie. SACD and DVD-Audio) I noticed the back of the DVD player has 8 outputs (SL,SR,C,SW,FL2,FL1,FR2,FR1). The receiver I'm planning to purchase (the AVR-1082) has the same 8 inputs. Do I need 8-channel Audio Cable (7.1) or 6-channel Audio Cables (5.1)?
  11. I'm looking for a Denon receiver to replace my Onkyo TX-DS575X. I found the AVR-1082 ($449.00 @ ecost), AVR-3802 ($449.99) and AVR-2803 ($435.99 @ ecost) to be similar. Which is the better one? I should also mention that I just purchased a Denon DCM-380 and a Denon DVD-2200. SACD will be important. I called Denon (very good customer support) and found that the 3802 and the 1082 are the same receiver with a different model number stamped on it. The 1082 was created to compete with other brands in stores because of the wattage rating. They both beat out the 2803 in features. So, I'll go with the AVR-3802.
  12. I already ordered the Denon, thanks though.
  13. Thanks for the heads-up. I just bought a 2200. Now I'll be changing my system over to all Denon.
  14. I read some personal reviews of the 910 on cnet and most people do not like it.
  15. But how does it compare to the Panasonic DVD-S47? Is DVD-Audio worth it because there are not much of a selection for it. I just bought a DVD-Audio yesterday and it sounds great if only in 2 channel.
  16. Hi all. I'm new to this forum and I have a question about DVD players. I just bought the Panasonic DVD-S47 because of the good review that cNet gave it. I only paid $80 for it at Best Buy. I needed a new one because my Onkyo DVD player (DV-SP300) would randomly not play the audio portion of DVDs. In searching eBay, I see that I can get a Denon DVD-910 for not much more than the Panasonic. Which one is the better buy? I noticed that the Denon does not play DVD Audio but the Panasonic does but only in 2-channel.
