  1. I would have to say that cable quality does make a difference... I have seen side by side demo's with the only difference being the cabels, and its dramatic. I also know that if what you are used to is awesome to you, then nothing could be better until you hear it.. My RSW12.. I first got it and the thing liked to blew me out of the room. The bass around mid volume on the side control would make your hair stand on end. One of the issues was that I had it a bit too far from the wall (back side) I had to almost shut the volume off before it was tolerable.. I finaly moved the back of the sub within 3 inches of the wall and it really tightend up the bass and allowed me to crank it up again. Now im enjoying clean powerful bass... So much so, I ordered another RSW12 for the same room 8-) Hard to beat the "wolves of isengard" scene in the two towers... Just darn good sound movement and bass... Of course the elephants in Return of the King are no slouch either...
  2. Thanks for all of the great information! My second sub is do here today or Monday... Cant wait to rattle the walls a little...
  3. After splitting the cable out of the receiver, is it any more efficient to split again at the sub so you connect into the L and R inputs? On my one sub set up... I go out of the receiver with a Monster Bass Cable to a high quality splitter into the sub, connecting to L and R... I guess I will now move the splitter to the receiver and go out with two Monster Bass Cables to a single input or should I split again...
  4. Consider a Rotel DVD player. I picked up a second hand one in good condition as most high end equipment is, for around $400. I have seen the same player on ebay for around $250 I couldnt believe my eyes when I connected it. The audio and picture quality is awesome. The unit sells new for over $700 I always wondered how a DVD player could be worth so much. I would probably never pay that much for a new one, but if you look around, you can find very good condition used ones for a fraction of the price and trust me, they are well worth it.
  5. I want to go with two subs in my theater. I run a Rotel amp which only has one "sub out" jack on the back. Im not sure about splitting at that point. Another guy suggested run the second sub from an output on the fist sub... Anyone have experience with this connection? Subs are RSW12
