  1. I received my BlueBerry Xtreme a couple of days ago and all I can say is WOW! Shortly after I ordered it, my condo neighbors moved -- a great opportunity to crank up the Khorns. It sounded so good that I began to wonder why I was replacing my McIntosh pre-amp. But I have to say, when the BlueBerry arrived I was astounded. I didn't really expect to hear that much difference. Mark, your product is incredible! Beautifully crafted, gorgeous cabinet, fantastic sound -- great detail and a wonderful openness. Imaging is improved by an order of magnitude. I didn't know how great the Khorns and the old MC-240 really were. Now I'm going to settle back and listen to my entire catalogue of recordings! I'm hearing things in my old favorites I've never been able to hear before!

  2. A McIntosh C-28 would match the MC2505 and is a nice pre-amp. One thing I like about the C-28 is that it has two main outputs, each with a center channel output. I have a very nice C-28 and love it. In fact, though I've order a tube pre-amp and really should sell my C-28, I just can't bring myself to part with it right now.

  3. Guys, I've the hots for a Juicy Music BlueBerry Extreme. Trouble is, I'm running a center channel and the BlueBerry only has one Main Output. Klipsch used to sell a little box to derive a center channel but they nolonger make that box.

Anyone know of a source for such a box built with good componants?

  4. I really don't think there is a "world's best speaker"! I've owned a variety of speakers over the years and enjoyed every one of them. However, at some point in my audiophile journey I'd get a knot in my britches to have something different. Had a pair of Bose 901's when they first came out in the late 60's. Then came the ESS AMT 1's. I really liked their sound but got excited about a big pair of Magnepans (three panels for each stereo channel). They were enjoyable to listen to and just awesome to look at but they had to go for a pair K-Horns with a Belle for the center. I kept those for about ten years then got all fussed over Quad ESL 63's. In terms of definition they were simply wonderful but like the Maggies a bit shy on bass. Then I tried a pair of Digital Phase. But alas, Ive returned to Klipsch. Every pair of these speakers was totally enjoyable. I do love my present K-Horns and Belles. I hope the bug to re-tool doesn't bite me any time soon, but that's totally unpredictable. It could happen any time!

  5. I had a ton of these Crown amps -- DC-300, DC-300 series II as well as Crown pre-amps. Unfortunately, Crown nolonger supports their vintage equipment. When I had a problem with one of my pre-amps, Crown referred me to a place in the Chicago suburbs. They never did quite fix the problem. Without factory tech support, vintage Crown prices have slowly eroded. That's why I sold all of my Crown gear.
