  1. What is the recommended audiophile player for DVDA? I have been reading alot about the Arcam line. Does anyone have their favorites for audiophile quality? Thanks, I am trying to upgrade before my hearing is shot.
  2. Hello, Can anyone recommend a vendor for repairing Pioneer solid state amp from 1985? I have the Pioneer A88X. Thank you for your assistance.
  3. Hello, I have a Pioneer A-88x integrated amp and the right channel for both the A and B outs is sputtering and blew out a woofer in my K horns. I have replaced the woofers with Crites woofer, but now I need to get the amp repaired and reconditioned. I live in Southern Indiana. Can anyone recommend a vendor to fix my amp? Your assistance is appreciated. Dave P.

  7. I will be the proud owner of '84 Klipschorns this month. I primarily play 24/96 vinyl rips (DVDA) using a Panasonic RP91. Some folks state tubes are the way to audio enlightenment; I read and interview article with Jim Hunter (I think it was the name, I know it was a senior Engineer at Klipsch, I cannot relocate the interview) that he is using solid state to power his rosewood horns. I am trying to gain an understanding of pros/cons of tube, versus solid state, what make the stuff high end versus mid/low end. What are the measureable performance parameters? Trying to understand the choices before purchasing. Budget currently unknown yey, I do not understand what the price breakpoints are?
  8. Is there a website(s) one can find the description of preamps/ opamps as used in audio? To understand the concepts to start to be able to make an intelligent choice in purchase of preamps/opamps beside just listen as the solo method? You assistance is appreciated

  10. I listen to alot of stereo, 2496 album rips. The RF3;s will become part of the surround system. Using panny RP91 for my dvda and cd player, use a Denon AVR 1802 receiver for ampliification/ surround sound, Man Cave - room in basement 40' long 24' wide....Mits 65" WS 65611 all purchased in Dec 02. Of course 8' pool table, sectional etc Was a great Christmas. Had my eyes on the RF7's but could not pull it off at the time. Special run of the RF7's got me drooling.
  11. Has anyone purchased the RF-7's for $1100/ea via the website? Is this the best way to go or is there another route? Again your assistance is appreciated/
  12. I have the RF3II five speaker package with a Paradigm PDR12 sub. Klipsh is offering a limited run of the RF7's; I did not have the cash for the RF7's when I purchased the RF3II. Questions: what will I gain upgrading? I plan to keep the RF3's and integrate. Your opinion counts. Thanks for your time.
