    What do they fit in?

They are a replacement for the k77 and therefore they fit in H1's. I believe that tweeter was widely used across the heritage line for years (decades?) but I dont want to represent something that I'm not an expert on.

Do you want to trade for the stock ones? I also have the stock coils for the H3 I believe
I just know they won’t fit my H1’s

I actually have the k77 stock tweeters. I recently bought these speakers and the seller included both sets of tweeters.

  3. Hi all. Long time no post here, but still rockin my heritage klipsch every day!

I have three CT125 tweeters for sale. One brand new and two barely used. Decided to go back to K77 tweeter to better match the other speakers in my HT setup.

For one: 70 incl US shipping

For pair: 135 incl US shipping

For all three: 180 incl US shipping

    Thanks for looking!

  4. Picked up a pair of 1984 cornwalls w/ cane grills only an hour away! Cabinets are in perfect condition. Grills could use recovering to be perfect (and straightening out - corners are bowing) but are in fine shape - no tears or anything like that.

    Price: $350

Thanks for all of the replies. I'm a happy camper. Once I re-read the many posts explaining how to post pictures I'll give it a shot.

  5. Long time member but it's been a while since I last posted. I
recently purchased an Academy and a C7. Academy sounds a tiny bit better
to my ears and the black finish works better in our living room than
    the light oak.

Listed on CL for $225, will take $200 from a forum member.

In nice condition. Looks like the emblem has been painted over black, which looks fine. There's also a small quarter sized spot which i first thought was a water stain, but I'm fairly sure is just the wood grain itself.

Would prefer not to ship this beast, but would consider it.

Sorry, tried to post a pic but it came out blurry. Here's the CL ad:

    Thanks!!

  6. Hi all,

If I were to throw a couple hundred at my system would it be better spent in adding some used separates for the L-C-R or in refreshing the electronics within my speakers?

I have three Chorus I up front, two KLF10 in back and a marantz SR7200 amp. I was looking at the Marantz MA500 separates. They are only modestly more wattage then my receiver - would i even hear a difference?

    Thanks for any input.

  7. Hi all,

I'm sure there is a thread on this very topic but all that i could find were on Chorus II. Up front in my HT i have three Chorus I and i was wondering about refreshing the electronics so that i could get back to how these puppies sounded when they were brand new. I read a quote the other day from either BEC or DeanG (can't remember which) which said if your klipsch speakers are 20 years old, the caps are bad. So, always looking for a better sound, i am thinking maybe i should attempt a replacement job.

Anyone have an idea how big of a job this is? I am fairly compentent in taking things apart and putting them back together. Soldering skills are decent. Is this something i can tackle? Where do i get started - parts, diagrams, instructions?

As always, thanks for any info!

  8. Hi all,

I have a bunch of records that i'm unable to listen to because I don't have a record player. I was wondering what is a decent unit that i could look at to get some sound out of all this vinyl? I dont want to spend big bucks, (cds are more of my thing) but i also dont want these records to just sit in my closet for another 10 years.

Used or new doesnt matter to me, just looking for something half-way decent. The only thing to mention is that my receiver does not have a phono input so imagine i'd need the phono preamp in the record player itself?

    Thanks for any help!

  9. Thanks for the info. Looks like it's only the expensive players, except for the HD-A1 which can be found used pretty cheap. One thing i didnt know is that it only outputs HD signals over the HDMI, not component video. Are all the new players that way?
