  1. I saw the post but I'm still kind of confused. Can someone ID these for me. 90002164 and 90002165 are the serials.
  2. Currently it's so big it is corner loaded in the back right of the room. My new location is going to have a cleanslate and a huge room I can design as I please. I'm really excited.
  3. I have the chance to buy a pair of MINT Belle's in a Brazillian Rosewood they are $1500 though. The wood finish isn't as big of a deal to me as it is to some but they look amazing and II am very curious how this would do in my system if I am planning an all Lascala system. I'd HATE to try and find all belle's if the sound was too far apart. Heck I might even just do 3 lascalla/belle upfront and do maybe a different style surround like heresy maybe? Up for suggestions.
  4. Do y'all think the sound quality would be night and day better than my 7's?
  5. I have been curious about changing my system to vintage. If I were to grab a pair of Khorns, what series do I get or crossover etc. I'm looking at a pair that's from 1975. I'm not against doing a crossover change or a sub upgrade etc if needed
  6. I have YPAO by yamaha, it's alright but it damn sure isn't as good as audyssey
  7. If it functions 100% as long as it isn't missing a huge chunk or something it wouldn't bother me what it looked like as long as it was black. Also not in my signature is my current subwoofer is a Tuba HT which I hear matches la scala amazingly
  8. I'm seriously considering selling my current setup and going with a 7.1 with all lascalas. Room is not even almost an issue, the room is 23x22 feet. With my current equipment would that be a significant difference? I have rs62ii currently on the sides, it's not in my profile. Also when I seek them out should I consider a certain year range? Also what doing something like crites crossovers or similar be worth it all the way around? And last but not least will my xpa have too much wattage for them?
  9. Is there really THAT much of a gain from xt to 32 to warrant the higher price tag? Budget isn't a big deal but money spent on something that isn't in your face difference seems kind of a waste. Just want a really nice audessey system that will do a good job of eq'ing my system including my subwoofer. Ypao is a joke.
  10. I can't decide what I should upgrade to. I really am not liking the YPAO on my Yamaha v667 receiver. I have an xpa-5 so gobs of power isn't really an issue. I really want at least a 7.1 with the xt32 EQ system in it. But would it be worth it? What other options do I have as far as pre/pro do I have? I need something with power because my 2 rears are running off the receiver.
  11. Is there not a setting the the parametric EQ that I can turn up to get more bass out of just the fronts?
  12. My xpa-5 will be in tonight and I am curious what settings I need to set on my receiver to get more bass out of my rf7ii's. The receiver has a parametric EQ. Yamaha v667. As of right now I get next to no bass out of them. Hopefully the amp will help but I can't wait to hear the whole system on good clean power.
  13. Well my little Yamaha V667 isn't doing much to my new rf7's. How big of a sound increase and overall punch will I gain by adding the XPA 5 to my system? It sounds OK now but not great, not like i expected. I'm pushing 2 rf7ii, rc64ii, and rf52 through that little v667
  14. So if I set my rf7's to large and 60hz xover on my receiver they will slam above that set amount and let the sub do the rest below that frequency? So I would not have to worry about running into that too low frequency problem.Correct?
  15. Yea I agree. It's a really nice pioneer but I'm going to get the xpa3
  16. Well as amazing as my new rf7s are my reciever is not even almost up to par. My yamaha v667 isn't even moving them. Is there a way I can hook an older 250x5 old school reciever to it and save myself the cost of the xpa-3 I have been eyeballing.
  17. I'll be driving to Hope tomorrow to pick up my rf7ii (only a 30 min drive) and I am curious if I should set them to small or large on my reciever. I have rf7ii as mains rc 64ii center and rf52ii as rears. Seems a damn shame to set them all to small and just use my sub. What do y'all think?
  18. Is it ok to sit my plasma on my rc64ii? I dont think it would hurt the speaker but would the tv be affected by the bass or anything that the speaker produces?
  19. Just looked at your flikr. Damn it looks nice man. I would love to do a false wall like that but I have zero idea where to get started. Also going to need the space first. Coming soon though hopefully.
  20. Thanks man. On the label on the back it says max imput is 200 watts. I thought that was the rms not the max >_>
  21. Yes I am so far. Have only had it a few hours and 5am comes early so I can't really test it fully.
  22. Here is just a size comparison for those like me and do not have a dealer that has a demo room with speakers on display. This is my new RC64ii with my old RC52ii sitting on top of it. And for a size reference thats a 50" plasma tv behind it.
  23. Ill ask him if he doesn't mind me posting him because he has quoted me some nice deals. I paid $850 for my rc64ii. No they are definitely not B stock. And about the Belles they are immaculate and it's the first time I have ever seen the brazillian wood in real life. Just wow on how it looks. I might honestly just save up and buy both and put tubes on the belles. I'll be using an xpa-5 for my HT. I have heard la scala and was very meh with them but I hear upgrading them really makes them shine.
  24. I don't know know if they remade them but this set was made in the 70's
  25. The title says it all. I am revamping my HT and would some input. I have a choice to buy a pair of very nice Belle's for $2000 or a new pair of RF7ii for $2200. I do roughly 80/20 movie to music. I'm really torn here. My center has already arrived it's a rc64ii. My surrounds are going to be either rs52 or rs62 I have not decided.
