  1. I have the chance to buy a pair of MINT Belle's in a Brazillian Rosewood they are $1500 though. The wood finish isn't as big of a deal to me as it is to some but they look amazing and II am very curious how this would do in my system if I am planning an all Lascala system. I'd HATE to try and find all belle's if the sound was too far apart. Heck I might even just do 3 lascalla/belle upfront and do maybe a different style surround like heresy maybe? Up for suggestions.

  2. I have been curious about changing my system to vintage. If I were to grab a pair of Khorns, what series do I get or crossover etc. I'm looking at a pair that's from 1975. I'm not against doing a crossover change or a sub upgrade etc if needed

  3. I'm seriously considering selling my current setup and going with a 7.1 with all lascalas. Room is not even almost an issue, the room is 23x22 feet. With my current equipment would that be a significant difference? I have rs62ii currently on the sides, it's not in my profile. Also when I seek them out should I consider a certain year range? Also what doing something like crites crossovers or similar be worth it all the way around? And last but not least will my xpa have too much wattage for them?

  4. Is there really THAT much of a gain from xt to 32 to warrant the higher price tag? Budget isn't a big deal but money spent on something that isn't in your face difference seems kind of a waste. Just want a really nice audessey system that will do a good job of eq'ing my system including my subwoofer. Ypao is a joke.

  5. I can't decide what I should upgrade to. I really am not liking the YPAO on my Yamaha v667 receiver. I have an xpa-5 so gobs of power isn't really an issue. I really want at least a 7.1 with the xt32 EQ system in it. But would it be worth it? What other options do I have as far as pre/pro do I have? I need something with power because my 2 rears are running off the receiver.

  6. My xpa-5 will be in tonight and I am curious what settings I need to set on my receiver to get more bass out of my rf7ii's. The receiver has a parametric EQ. Yamaha v667. As of right now I get next to no bass out of them. Hopefully the amp will help but I can't wait to hear the whole system on good clean power.

  7. Well my little Yamaha V667 isn't doing much to my new rf7's. How big of a sound increase and overall punch will I gain by adding the XPA 5 to my system? It sounds OK now but not great, not like i expected. I'm pushing 2 rf7ii, rc64ii, and rf52 through that little v667

  8. Well as amazing as my new rf7s are my reciever is not even almost up to par. My yamaha v667 isn't even moving them. Is there a way I can hook an older 250x5 old school reciever to it and save myself the cost of the xpa-3 I have been eyeballing.

  9. Ill ask him if he doesn't mind me posting him because he has quoted me some nice deals. I paid $850 for my rc64ii. No they are definitely not B stock. And about the Belles they are immaculate and it's the first time I have ever seen the brazillian wood in real life. Just wow on how it looks. I might honestly just save up and buy both and put tubes on the belles. I'll be using an xpa-5 for my HT. I have heard la scala and was very meh with them but I hear upgrading them really makes them shine.

  10. The title says it all. I am revamping my HT and would some input. I have a choice to buy a pair of very nice Belle's for $2000 or a new pair of RF7ii for $2200. I do roughly 80/20 movie to music. I'm really torn here. My center has already arrived it's a rc64ii. My surrounds are going to be either rs52 or rs62 I have not decided.
