  1. I'm going to lower my price to $200 or best offer....I just want to get rid of these....
  2. I just got my first Klipsch Heritage speakers yesterday....a pair of HWO Heresy from 1984. The previous owner said no mods were made previously. What are some things I should do to update? How simple are these mods? Thanks!
  3. If you see any Cornwalls in the area that you're not interested in, keep me in mind...
  4. I was bidding on those, but gave up because I won a pair of Heresys earlier in the day (and wanted to avoid the drive). I probably should have gone for these...
  5. Ok, I just bought a pair of Heresys off ebay for a decent price $355, so I'm going to try these out. I'm also working on finding a pair of Cornwall speakers. If I do find a pair, would the Heresy be good for surrouns? If not, I'll offer them up here for what I paid for them...
  6. Yeah, I plan to start with my HK receiver and I'm sure I'll start exploring tubes at some point. I guess I should have jumped all over a pair I saw in Philly in much better shape for $600. Oh well, I'll keep checking here and craigslist and other places daily.
  7. Yeah, I decided I'm willing to drive 4 or 5 hours, so that should coverfrom DC to NYC to Pittsburgh.
  8. Yes, I can ship (it should be about $40). These are black finish.
  9. I just got excited (after having lost out on another pair earlier today on ebay). I'm taking my time now....
  10. Ok, I may wait for something local then. I definitely want to take people's advice around here....
  11. I have a pair of RB-35s for sale. I had set them up for my Reference 7.1 system as surrounds and I decided I only need a 5.1 system. I can take pics, but they're in mint condition... $300 or best offer
  12. Here's the link...anyone else have thoughts? http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/ele/397880790.html
  13. Is there much risk to getting damages? The seller says he uses Forward Airline and has never had a problem shipping speakers/motorcycles, etc.
  14. That would be greatly appreciated!
  15. The offer is for $675 including shipping. I'll see what I can negotiate or I'll just wait..... I can't listen to them since they'll be shipped across the country. I've also never listened to the Cornwalls at all, which makes me think a bit harder. I currently have a RF-35 system, but from what I've read, these should be better.
  16. Also what's the minimum power suggestion for these? I have a cheaper HK @ 30W/channel Here are some pics if that helps with pricing:
  17. I've just started looking at buying Cornwalls (still kind of debating between them and Heresy). Anyway, I've been offered a pair from 1974 with updated crossovers from the factory (updated a year ago). Cosmetically, there's a chip in the top corner of the cabinet, and a tear in the grill, but other than that everything looks good. What's a fair price? How much does the new crossover add? How much does the damaged cabinet decrease? Also, I've seen a lot of people selling these saying they're too big for a townhouse. Will they be too powerful and should I just go with the Heresy? I guess I need to go find a place to listen, but I thought I'd get some advice from here. I currently have a 7 speaker Reference series system and I'm looking at doing a heritage system for both home theater and stereo.
  18. How much would shipping be to DC? I just missed a pair on ebay for $600
  19. Yeah, I've been looking for the RC-10 and RC-25 used so I can get them a bit cheaper, but haven't had any luck yet.... If anyone has an RC-10 or RC-25 to sell here, let me know!
  20. The RC-35s are too big for the space that I have....would any smaller center channel speakers work well? What about the KV series? My plan is to get something cheaper now for this system until I get more room.
  21. I think HK sounds great with the reference series

Good note Picky, I particularly looked for that feature when checking out the Coasters I bought. Your La-Z-Boy's are superbly comfortable, only problem is that spring-loaded-beer-eject mechanism (forewarned is forearmed) LOL! Michael ---------------- i think that this is the design for most HT loungers....I know that Berkline follows this. Also, pricing for mine ( a leather match, manual recline) was about $550/chair including shipping (no tax). The power recline and built in subs are other options to add on. Again, anyone looking would do well to talk with Roman at rtheaters.com
  23. I'd recommend going over to avsforum.com....there are a lot of discussions over there about which are best..... I went with the Berkline 90 models in a leatcher match. They are incredible. To me they were more comfortable than the other brands I tried, including Pallisades, Coaster and John Elway collection (those were too darn expensive). I'd start with the Berklines, but don't be scared off by the retail prices. Anyone wanting berklines should go to rtheaters.com and speak with Roman. He will guide you through everything and give a great price.
