Thanks Groomlakearea51, I've also received a recommendation on the Ortofon 2M Red cartridge for the Technics turntable. Has anyone ever tried the Ortofon? Also I'm looking for a phono preamp. As mentioned above, I have solid state gear (Aragon 8008BB amp and Aragon Aurum preamp) I'm trying to stay in the $500 range for the cartridge and preamp together. Thanks for any recommendations,

I have a Technics SL-1200MK2 turntable that I'd like to try out. I have solid state gear (Aragon 8008BB amp, Aragon Aurum Preamp) Can someone give me some recommendations on a phono preamp? and phono cartridge for the Technics SL-1200MK2? I don't know much about turntables, so would a MM or MC cartridge work best with the Aragon gear and Technics turntable? I would like to stay in the $500 range for both the preamp and cartridge. If it would make much difference to spend alittle more, I would consider it. Thanks,

Just curious to know how many people use an equalizer for their 2 channel system and does it really make a difference for the better? Also what brands are they using?

Yes, I found many XLR cables, but no Y-Adapters. I need a female to 2 male y-adapters.

The picture does this one NO justice. The high gloss black piano finish is unbelievable. If you look close, you can see the reflection of the ceiling on the finish.

Well congratulations Mdbrien, nice choice, have you seen or heard a pair in person yet ? The best black finish I have ever seen on a speaker, very nice looking and of course they sound great No dtel, I've never seen a pair in person. Also I've never had the chance to hear the original Khorns. I currently have a pair of La Scalas and a pair of Heresys. They should arrive Monday the 10th. I will power them with an Aragon 8008BB amp and an Aragon Aurum Preamp. I will post pictures when they arrive. My room size is 22' x 22' with 10' ceilings. Does anyone know how many pair were distributed in the US? It looks like from the searching I've been doing that most of them were shipped overseas.

I just wanted to share something that is very exciting to me. As most of you probably know that Klipsch auctioned off two pairs of the 60th anniversary Klipschorns on EBay. You guessed it! I am one of the lucky ones. According to the tracking numbers, I should have them Monday. I will post pictures! Also, a special thanks to Amy for answering all my questions during the process. I'm putting together an all Heresy HT. My room size is 18' x 20' I'm looking at the Klipsch Sub 12 and the Klipsch RW-12D. Can someone tell me what would be the better of the two? I know the Sub 12 is a down firing sub as the RW-12d is a front firing sub. Is there anything that's better about a front firing sub or a down firing sub? I also know the RW-12d cost more, but does that mean it's much better? Thanks,

Thanks Srobak, I was looking at the AVR 645 and the AVR 745. Since I'm not really experienced with HT, do you think that the AVR 745 is much better than the AVR 645 for the money? Thanks,

Would an academy center be a good choice for Heresy fronts and rears?

Room size is 18' x 20' Will probably use it 50% music and 50% HT. Do you think the Klipsch Sub 12 would be a good choise? Thanks
