  1. I think the 3801 is a great Receiver for the money. Matched with the right Speakers or in the right size room. Depending on your listening habits. I hated the 3801 with my Klipsch Speakers though, (KLF-10's, KG 5.5's and 2 Klf-C7's). My brother tried one with his Klipsch, (4 KLF-30's and 2 KLF-C7's) and hated it even more than I did. Note: We both have large rooms and like our music loud and dynamic. The 3801 was bright and tiresome to listen to after a short period of time. We have Denon 5800's now. They are unbelievable. The price shows it though. Disclaimer: I apologize to you Folks that like the 3801 with your Klipsch Speakers. These are just my opinions. Don't take it personal. Your mileage may vary. Jack

  6. Thanks for the help. I'll get it taken care of either way.
  7. I'm bummed. Today the Receiver my KG 2.5's are hooked to started shutting down. So, I checked all of the wiring and Speakers. I determined the cause to be one of the KG 2.5's. I tried changing the Speaker wire and that didn't help. So I took the front off of the offending Speaker and after disconnecting the components one at a time, I was able to determine that it is most definitely a short in the lower Woofer. I even switched the wires from one Woofer to the other, just to be sure it wasn't the x-over. Does anyone know what the warranty period is on the KG series?
  8. I just recently picked up 4 KLF-C7's at Tweeter for $299.99 ea. I think it was a mess up in their computer system. They probably fixed it by now. It's hard to get a deal at Tweeter, so I don't feel bad at all.
