  1. I would consider the 15 inch Dayton Titanic from parts express.
  2. I paid 460 from ubid. They have had two or three auctions in the last few months with the winning bids ranging from the 450's to low 500's. Comes with full warrantry. Keep your eyes open; would'nt be suprised to see more pop up. Marantz= quality.
  3. Yeah thats what I thought too but a few people on the avs forums really like them.
  4. I won the marantz receiver on ubid and it should be here monday. I currently have the quintet micro system but want to upgrade to either the RF-3 or RF-7 speakers in the next few months but I don't really want to shell out 700 plus on a new amp. I really want the RF-7's but an amp would put them out of my price range.

Also could anybody tell me what brand it is.
  6. a high powered amp? I understand why they would sound better at high voulmes but at low to medium volumes it would make since that they would sound the same wether you were pushing 100 ar 200 watts.
  7. ubid is selling a handfull of them for 79$
  8. mated with a b&k or Adcom 3 channel amplifier with the surrounds running off the receiver? Looking into RF-7 for fronts and RF-35 for my rears with an RC-7 center.
  9. How much is this item worth used? Also how do you hook up amplifiers to receivers? I am currently bidding on a Maranz SR-8400 receiver and wanted to know how good of a match these would be hooked up to a pair of RF-7's.

    RSW-15

The specs sheet on the Klipsch website says 650 watts rms while goodguys claims the sub is pushing 1000 watts rms. Whoose right?
  11. How good is this receiver compared to the Denon 3805 and HK 635?
  12. I've been lurking around these forums and have decided it is time to upgrade my home theater. I have been using the quintets for a few years and love them but I am beginning to outgrow the system. My budget will be around 4000-6000$ and I am planning on purchasing the system piece by piece over the next year. I have a few questions and I would appreciate your opinions. 1- Will the Denon AVR-3805 be able to handle the the RF-7's, or would I need to purchase a separate amp? 2- How does this setup sound- RF-35, RC-7, RS-35, RSW 15 with either a Denon AVR 3805 or HK AVR 635. With this setup I have 4 questions. 2.1- Which amp will power the system the best, or will they both do a good job. 2.2- Would the RSW- 15 be complete overkill for the system I am looking at? 2.3- How would these speakers sound say ten years from now as long as they were well taken care of? 2.4- How do the RF-35's sound compared to the RF-5 and RF-7 models (movies and music)? Any other advice is welcome.
