Are any speaker stands recommended for the THX Ultra II system? I know that many will work, but are any recommended by Klipsch? What brands do ya'll trust / prefer?

I'm setting up my THX Ultra II system, and am running out of cables! Can I plug in a regular (red, white or yellow) RCA Audio cable to connect the KW120's to the receiver until I can order an appropriate sub cable? What's the downside?

This won't add much content, but I recently purchased the OmniMount brackets so that I can mount my KL525's on the rear wall at the correct height levels.

We just moved into a new house - how do I rewire the media room with 12 gauge wire? In particular, I need to provide wire for 4 wall mounts (7.2 setup). I have a stud finder and can access the attic above the room, but it is difficult to manuever around. I would rather not shell out $400 for professionals...

I have always used cable, but now I can grab DSL at $25/month for 3mbps or cable for $45/month for 5mbps. Thinking about taking the $20/month and testing the DSL...

We're moving and therefore shopping around for phone, internet and cable packages - any recommendations? So far we are looking at Vonage, Roadrunner or a DSL package and then Directv with Tivo...

No DSL - simply thinking about adding Vonage to my cable modem (roadrunner) so that the Directv TIVO can call everynight for updates, etc. It looks beneficial to pay $24.95/month for Vonage's unlimited service rather than pay a phone company ~$21.00/ month for a basic package. I wish that I could hook up Directv with TIVO without a landline phone!

Please follow this thread as it somewhat relates to home theater... Does anyone have experience with running the Directv TIVO setup (which requires a landline) off of Vonage VOIP? Vonage seems pretty cool...

The walls are covered with sheetrock - it looks like a typical room and does not appear to have any trace of concrete. After further reading online, I think we will be in good shape. My main concern was that the Ultra II system would throw so much bass that the "heavy" walls would cause to "over-reflect" the waves.

We just purchased a home with a media room (20 X 14) - however, the media room has concrete filled walls that run halfway up before the sheetrock takes over. Has anyone ever heard of a media room having concrete walls? Is this proper? What effect will this room have on running the THX Ultra II system with two subs?

If my plan is to purchase the HDTV DirecTv satellite system, then it is not necessary to buy a TV with "HDTV Built-in", right? Is it correct to simply purchase a less expensive "HD Ready" model of the same unit since the DirecTv box will act as the HDTV connection?

Pioneer Elite VSX 54TX receiver and the subs are powered via their own amp...

So, once the decision to proceed with HDTV is made - what is needed to make my system HDTV ready? Upon purchase of the HDTV (along with DirecTv HDTV DVR and HDTV programming) - what else is needed to make everything sync? Optical cables, etc???

Is HDTV worth the extra cost? Can you really tell a difference in the picture and what effect, if any, does it have on watching DVDs?

Assuming that your systems aren't built-in, what are ya'll using for stands and mounts - especially for the surrounds?

I just purchased the THX Ultra II system as a giant step-up from my previous hand me downs. So far, I have a Pioneer Elite receiver, adequate DVD player, and cd player. What else do I need to be thinking about as far as cables / wires, banana plugs, optical cables, etc? What is included in the Ultra II package - banana plugs, any wiring?
