  1. Chris Thanks for you input I will be getting back with you on the networks. Looks like I have an Academy center to find then some KG 2.5v for my effects. Thanks Bash
  2. I have just purchased Forte II for my mains (changing from def techs thank god) and am looking to also change the rear effects as well as the center (i know academy center is the one) but don't really know which kg or other speaker to use for my effects. Any one out there have any suggestions?
  3. IT ALSO DEPENDS ON BUDGET.... KHORNS ARE 3000.00 AND UP..... FORTE II ARE 500.00 TO 800.00........
  4. You really have to look at the size of space the spaekers will take up in the room and if you want a sub. All the heritage line is very good. I like the Forte II for the fact that they are old and new school for Klipsch, real wood vs other materials. What kind of unit used to drive speakers means alot also. Is this going to be a 2 channel or Home Theater? Have fun and audition some different Heritage Klipsch and decide for your self what you like.
  5. tek Take a look at the sr8400 you can buy one about for about 550.00to 650.00 or you can look at the sr7000on ebay right now. type in marantz sr and you will see.
  6. Tekworm Bash here again take a listen at your nearest Marantz dealer and look at the many options. The mellow feel of the Marantz reminds me of the old marantz equiptment in the 70's build quality extra heavy duty you will not go wrong. After audition you can even buy something on Ebay (I bought a sr7000 for under 400.00) makes my Klipsch Forte II's sing . Bash

If it were to come down to the Pioneer or Yahama, I can tell you I had a Yahama with my Klipsch speakers for about a month and it did a very good job. I have had a Denon so long now I can't tell you how they compared, I can only tell you I certainly like the sound of my Denon. I had an old Pioneer system before I got my Klipsch that lasted 10 years without a problem. Well, there actually was a problem, the pioneer speakers were crap, but I didn't figure that out until I got some good Klipsch speakers to place beside them. I have been frequenting this site ever since... Good luck! D ---------------- I have just upgraded to the Marantz line of avr and WOW what a difference throw Yamaha,Pioneer, Denon and Harmon Karmon away look at what Marantz has its warm and tube like.
