  1. An attention span and motor skills!
  2. Just yell if you are tired of my pics!
  3. The newer table is hooked up to a gift from my tax guy.....a Pioneer SX950 and makes up the third system in the same room.
  4. Here is the table with a 78 speed. Yikes...the Shure V15 is not there. In it's place a rather generic looking M44-7. Too late to ask my buddy Tom. Would that be for 78s or could I use any cartridge to play 78s?
  5. Got it, thanks again! Any advice on cleaning 78s? Cleaners to avoid? Have a record vac but it uses an alcohol cleaner.
  6. Thanks for the link Dave. A great site and affordable gear!
  7. That's happening quickly here seti!
  8. Another shot of the ML-1C Yes I read HudsonValleyNoah's excellent instructions on how to post pictures and now he has created a monster!
  9. Would either of these help with the EQ?
  10. Thanks Boxx! It took two trips in the Volvo wagon to get them home. Though Tom had some hearing impairment he loved music as his collection indicates. I can see him now sitting at his desk, baton in hand, conducting the orchestra.
  11. I inherited a rather large music collection from my friend Tom and thought you may like to see some pictures. There are eighteen albums containing twelve 78s each as well as hundeds of individual albums and a copy of Richard Wagners Der Ring Des Nibelungen box set. I would guess six to eight hundred albums in all. I also have Tom's Revox reel to reel (not in good shape) and a nice Benjamin Miracord turntable with A Shure V15 cartridge. The turntable has a 78 speed so at some point I will hook it up and listen for awhile.....a long while.
  12. I agree it looks like a great bargain. If Carlsbad is near you and you have the room I would say go for it! Keep it for awhile, enjoy it, then sell it if you must for more than you paid. A win-win! Whew! I'm just lucky it is not on the east coast. Think I maybe a little off topic here. Sorry Marty.
  13. Wow! That would be tempting if it was near Wilmington. I might not be able to resist even though I already have three systems. Rebuilt, serviced, and great cosmetics. I saw a nice all Mac system with the larger ML-2s on ebay. Very attractive gear and an asking price of $6200. Speakers need foam surrounds.
  14. Thanks Mark I will keep my eyes open for an EQ unit.
