Going to try the clay bar trick. Will wet the windshield with distilled water and Dawn, circular motion with clay bar, then wipe with the new waffle weave cloth, I just ordered from Amazon. Arriving tomorrow.

As a former professional window cleaner, I do not recommend this. Clean newsprint paper, perhaps, but nothing with print on it. The old carbon-based inks would transfer to the glass making it "sparkle" but it was not clean. I can't tell you how many houses I cleaned where the black yuck dripped off the window. Almost as bad as tobacco smoke residue.
Water and a bit of Dawn dish liquid is the secret recipe of most pros. Add a little vinegar if the windows are particularly dirty. The real secret on home windows is to use a good quality squeegee, but that is pretty difficult on curved car windows. Go for the microfiber towel.
Yes Dawn and distilled water was the better of the three attempts. Ordered 8 waffle weave microfiber cloths from Amazon today.

Warm here....should take the Bubble for a top down spin. Experimenting on car window cleaning recently. First alcohol and water. Next vinegar and distilled water. Third 2 drops of Dawn and distilled water. Microfiber cloth with each. Happiest with #3 but now I read they make a waffle microfiber cloth that's better. Saw a guy on youtube use a clay bar on the windows so I may try that as I already have a few😑
Want to play with my new preamp but it resides at my house and I don't. The house share person stays up till two and sleeps till 11am😙 Well at least I can look at a photo of it........

Glad to have you here Dave and happy the music at su casa is sounding fine! It's great when it all comes together isn't it?
I was probably spinning some tunes yesterday about the same time and too was happy with some modest tweaking I had done (speaker placement and gain preamp tubes).
About that slippery slope.....just saw a Transcendent Sound Grounded Grid pre for $400....condition "9" and had to hide my bill fold🙃

How long have you had the amp Jeff? Is it under warranty? Is the retailer near by? Seems like with the problems you have reported it may be time for another set of eyes and ears. That's a bit of money to spend and it not sound right.
I have the PL Dialogue Premium HP. Just changed out the two tubes Fido is referring to (V11& V12) with some nos tubes from the 50s produced in Holland. Burning in as I type.
Good luck with getting it squared away!

Don't think so, but to the point where "Man that ended up being a small fortune. Glad it sounds fantastic, incremental upgrades did their job too. That's it for a decade or two."
Then I drool over the garage sale threads
Not my quote John.....grassshopper said that.

Thanks Randy but that's my dearly missed Jake who passed away from cancer on March 2, of this year. He was also a Norwich Terrier, the smallest of the sporting breeds. Ratters in the old days.

Y'all ever get to the point of saying, "I guess that is how it is suppose to sound"?

Getting ready to spin Bella Fleck and The Flecktones. It's a new test CD to judge changes in my gear so I'm listening repeatedly so I can pick out nuances. Normally I would select Saxophone Colossus or Way Out West by Sonny Rollins.
The change will be two nos Amperex 12AU7s made in Holland late 50's early 60s that will go in the center positions of the PrimaLuna integrated. Not sold on tube rolling so we will see.......
Then taking LF to lunch on this sunny but chilly day.
So there you have it.....feel free to alert the press🙂

But may the PL Powerstage Tubes ( EL 34 ? ) will benefit by tuberolling the prestage 12 AU7 (?)
I have an octet of EL-34s but KT-120s are now installed. I ordered a matched pair of nos Amperex (orange world logo) 12AU7s from Brent Jesse this morning to replace the RCA clear tops.

Ok so the Masterpiece is a Preamp so it should have line level out. Does the PL have a line level in? Like an Aux in or a tuner in?
Yes it does. I was curious if the 300B tubes in the Transcendent pre would add anything positive to the PL integrated's power supply. May not be worth the effort.....

So we need more chatter you say? Not earth shaking but I did climb my 24' ladder up to to three areas of the 1.5 story house to blow leaves and pine straw off. Gutter guard does not help with straw! Walking up and down valleys is getting a bit scary for this soon to be 73 year old but my errand boy was busy.
On a happier note I ordered a matched pair of Amperex 12AU7s (orange world logo-Holland) from Brent Jesse this morning. Will try them in the two center positions of the PrimaLuna integrated. A bit of a skeptic about tube rolling I must say.
Lastly you may remember I bought the Transcendent Sound Masterpiece but it resides at my other house. Was wondering if I brought it here could I run the PL integrated through the Masterpiece pre amp? If so tell me how please.

I threw all my vinyl in a dumpster in 1983. No regrets. I ripped all my compact discs to flac in 2020, once again, no regrets. I don't use anything that spins. Too much effort involved. I just tap on a screen now. Life is good.
I'm just the opposite. Three turntables, three R2Rs, many hundred LPs and CDs and yes streaming too. The Sugar Cube takes care of the pops and tics with no loss of musical content. Love the involvement with my media and watching those big reels spin.

LF is traveling to a family reunion so I have an early seating at the bar at Henry's Restaurant. Since I will be alone I asked to sit in the bar area.....same menu just less formal.
Cold and windy this morning. LF is backing out of her tennis match so we will have breakfast at The Toastery near the beach. Crab cakes benedict with potatoes for me. She will have the same replacing the yummy potatoes with fruit.
So there you have it....one of you guys alert the press!
