Looks to me like you definitely need some room treatment there. Rugs, drapes, etc. Seems to be quite a number of reflective surfaces, the floor especially.
True
Also I do not listen as loud anymore. For me digital hardware and poorly mastered software have been my roof causes of listener fatigue.

With Chorus II efficiency a H H Scott LK48 PP tube integrated was amazing to me 18 years ago.
Bass was shy compared to VRDs but soundstage and instrumental realism was top shelf.

NOS Valves a pretty Frsnkenscsla.

I do not play it often but the soundtrack to Last of the Mohicans is interesting. Blind Boys of Alabama singing with Ben Harper. Peter Gabriel New Blood orchestra.

The Crown was cool in the day. Three decades since I heard one.
An upgraded Crown would be interesting to hear.

I agree, sort of . . .
Each summer I’m surprised how good Klipsch Heritage sound outdoors. Sure low bass is all but nonexistent, due to the absence of room gain, but the absence of reflections makes the rest of the musical spectrum sound magical, at least to these septuagenarian ears.
Dark Rambler, your open space is so open as to possibly mimic the outdoor experience. All that really matters is that you’re able to enjoy the music.

My long wall room has a 4 foot halway in the back left and 10 foot open wall on the back right to the open dining room. Third house as of 2010 was the charm for minimizing reflections.

If you are joking, you really must be, you forgot to use your smiley.
Shakey
I was tired. Never liked the Air Force. Like a population of musicians, really talented but too strange for my tastes.

Not disagreeing with you on this either. Just wanted to see if there are any out there used
Unlikely. Digital and SS gear can be money losers. Except for the maybe RB5s my Klipsch speakers have all held their value the past 20 years.

It was; Ginger Baker was so drugged up though, he couldn't stop drumming and they literally had to carry him off stage, he was sweating buckets. Might have been part of the reason the group didn't make it for long.
GB has not done much since that I recall.

I was fortunate enough to see Blind Faith during their brief existence in '69. Still one of the greatest concerts I ever experienced.
That had to be impressive. I have seen Eric And Steve separately but together? Wow

Very cool story. Tough room to be certain.

Intellectual property piracy, counterfeit / out of spec components and materials. What could go wrong?
In 2018 I was personally involved in identifying counterfeit plastic in an automotive air bag system from China. What could go wrong?

General info,
relatively speaker, assuming the builder and/or refurbishing is done correctly, are they know for being a strong and reliable amp?
Is the phono stage anything special? if so why?
any quirks they tend to have? so i can avoid making any mistakes
How complicated or simple are they to work on?
not super crazy queestions, like my post says, I just want to learn more about it.
In my 20 years of recent listening to tube phono sections the Scott implementation of 12ax7 is impressive for its day. Unless you visualize analog circuits at a high level and do not mind the risk of ruining the amp....get in line at NOS Valves for a rebuild from a technician with few equals.

Yikes! Some guys downplay WAF. I do so at my own peril after 36 years of an occasional poor choice.
Good luck in the sale.

Was involved in some Jubes reading on FB.
Much of my wood furniture compliments the Belles.
At this point in life the beauty of the room is important to the listening experience.
My wife has never seen K Horns except in photos. To be continued...

I have not had a bad cartridge in decades. I have had good cheap Grado carts. SS phono stages I have not cared for in 20 years. Rather have a modest cart and tube phono stage. Modest tube phono by Bellari always sounded good years ago.

Sold last year.

Downtown and Franklin are over the top expensive. I use Hampton Inn Smyrna.

An NBS would be nice.
Craig gave me a listen a few years back when I could not afford one.😎

One question please.......since the OP is looking to try a tube pre and ss amps...................I know nothing about tubes.
A few years ago someone here told me if either the pre or amp would be tubes and the other SS, it was a bigger difference if the pre was tubes. Is this true ?
For phono stage perhaps. In my limited experience I never met a SS phono stage I was crazy about.

I gladly paid $800 for my Chorus IIs in black nearly 20 years ago. They remain in storage looking for their own room in late 2019.
Just hooked up the Chorus II-First Impressions
