  1. Thanks Bill. I checked his website and the K-77 tweeter diaphragms are no longer available. Any suggestions?

  3. Hi, I have a pair of Walnut Cornwalls ( model #CDR15, serial #2J117) and one of the tweeters has failed. I think these were built in the early 70's and I was hoping that original replacements might still be available for the tweeter and/or crossover. If this is not an option can the tweeter or crossover be rebuilt? Does anyone know the part number of the tweeters and crossovers? I really like these speakers and the music does'nt sound nearly as good with a blown tweeter. Thanks for your help, Rockwell (Jimbo)

  6. michael, why is it that when i was 15 years old these speakers looked old to me and now they look ahead of their time?
  7. bob, i would like to talk to you in the not too distant future about crossovers, etc.is this acceptable to you? thanks, rockwell
  8. m ichael, i appreciate your help-you were one of the guys who guided me in the proper direction.are you telling me that i need to take off the back panel and pull the driver mounting board through the back of the cabinet to remove the grille?this looks to be the proper solution-i just hoped it would be easier than that. these speakers will be in my garage and i want to wall mount them for physical protection and to keep the floor open for easy cleaning.i know this sounds goofy but i'd really like to try it. thanks, rockwell
  9. thankyou larry and bill, would either of you know the proper procedure for removing the grill? i appreciate your help very much, rockwell
  10. i recently purchased a pair of used cornwalls and they sound great! i am glad i heeded your collective advice.the serial no.'s are cdr 15,2j117&2j118 verticals.can i determine their age from this and what would happen sonically if i mounted them on a wood framed, thermally insulated sheetrocked wall. once again thank you very much, rockwell
  11. what was a "good" retail price for belles when they were available?
  12. is anyone familiar with these speakers, circa 1960.the cabinetry is solid walnut.
  13. that is good advice but at $4200.00 is steep-however i may blow my budget and buy new, which is not as much fun but less risky.
