  1. what cartridge do you have in the Dual? Jim in Arlington
  2. The iFi manual says the subwoofer makes 200 peak watts, but does anyone know what the rated output of the iFi amp to the satellite speakers actually is, and if the amp can accommodate 5-ohm speakers? I'm testing some new speakers and don't want to fry anything. Also, can I connect a separate amp's "subwoofer out" RCA-style port to the iFI using an RCA cable with a 3.5-mm adapter (for the iFi inputs). Any thoughts on a preference of using the 3.5-mm input on the subwoofer or the 3.5-mm input on the iFi's control dock? Finally, I have a slight hum in the unit that developed in the past year. I've moved other electronics gear away from the subwoofer and dock, but no change. Live with it, or is there a relatively easy fix? Thanks for any thoughts. Jim
  3. Since Klipsch won't sell these things, does anybody know what frequencies it operates on? I thought I'd try to adapt one to work. Anybody try that? Jim
  4. Last night I hooked up my iFi to my Sony HDTV using an RCA-to-3.5mm cable to the subwoofer jack. The goal is to improve my TV sound without stringing 5:1 speakers all around the living room. And I must say it did add quite a bit. (I also discovered that while I didn't think the iFi had all that much bass when I first listened to my music, there's PLENTY judging by that TV audio signal. I guess the TV production engineers figure viewers want the room to shake.) However, I can hear a slight buzzing from the iFi speaker when the using the TV. No problem when TV is off; no buzz from the TV speakers, either. Any thoughts? jim
  5. opened mine Xmas day - perfect. I can't see a scratch, dent or imperfection anywhere. looks like new to me - sounds great, too. i'm very pleased with the unit. getting it new might be worth the longer warranty if that concerns you, but that's for you to decide. Jim
