  1. Amy I would like to request also that the rt-12d be in the pilgrimage??? and the heritage lineup. I am dying to hear them all and to have them a/b side by side would be wonderful

Jay, is this going to be your first Pilgramage? I thought you said you had never been before?

I have a feeling you are going to be "speechless" that weekend.[;)]

  2. By the way, Trey was at my desk while I typed this post. I never call anyone an idiot behind their back. [;)]

And to think I thought Trey was asking "trick questions" for his poll?[;)]

Trey, you don't have to take that kind of talk from her.[;)] If Amy keeps treating you like that we just may have to "shoot cats out of cannon" at her.[;)]

Afterall, we know who does ALL the work around there.[;)]

  3. is amy another target now as she officially takes blame and fault for the monday night incident?

Well... since she accepted the blame I don't see any need to make her take to the dunking booth. I think she paid her dues, she seemed a little embarassed about the incident.

  4. I realize you guys are talking about the CS300/CS500 but this is a partial quote from Klipsch's office press release regarding the CS700.

    CS-700 DVD Entertainment System
This unobtrusive entertainment system uses digital processing circuitry to simulate the effect of a larger, five-speaker system with only two satellites, a subwoofer and an A/V center.

Each satellite employs dual magnetically shielded 3-inch woofers and a 0.75-inch magnetically shielded tweeter mated to an exclusive Tractrix® Horn, a design that delivers genuine lifelike sound as well as produces more output using less energy. Klipsch is the only speaker manufacturer to utilize horn technology in all of its product lines. In fact, the cutting-edge research that drives the development of the companys leading movie cinema speakers is also applied in the CS-700.

The subwoofer utilizes an 8-inch down-firing woofer and 200 watts of amplifier power to generate hard-hitting bass response. Due to its compact size and wireless capability, this subwoofer can easily be hidden away while still delivering dramatic low-end effects.

The A/V center features Dolby® Virtual Speaker technology along with a progressive scan DVD player, AM/FM tuner and three auxiliary inputs, including High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI). The CS-700 also features an HDMI output for passing digital signals to a TV. An easy-to-use universal IR remote control directs all system functions as well as those of the TV and other entertainment devices.
Available in a black finish, this system offers a clean, modern design that fits comfortably into any living environment. Essentially plug-and-play, the CS-700 can be operating in as little as 10 minutes. All it takes is hooking the satellites and TV up to the A/V center using the color-coded wiring and then plugging in the power cord. A step-by-step set up guide is included to walk users through the process.

If you go to the Home Page for Klipsch and click on Press Releases there are several recent articles regarding these products. Including the press release stating the CS700 won the CES Innovation Award for this year!!!!!!

Check it out, I don't think Bose ever produced speakers like those described above!!!!!!

  5. Did anyone else notice this press release? If I were just a little more computer literate I could paste the link.[:$]

And how about this...." Each satellite employs dual magnetically shielded 3-inch woofers and a 0.75-inch magnetically shielded tweeter mated to an exclusive Tractrix® Horn, a design that delivers genuine lifelike sound as well as produces more output using less energy. Klipsch is the only speaker manufacturer to utilize horn technology in all of its product lines. In fact, the cutting-edge research that drives the development of the companys leading movie cinema speakers is also applied in the CS-700."

  6. I think I would like to be an honourary dtel one day [:)]

Jay, you already are an honorary dtel.

You made honorary dtel when I saw the look on Ms. Barbara's face, in Hope, when we told her thank you for you!

For those of you that don't know this...Barbara Miller inspected Jay's speakers and Dr. Who and I had the pleasure of telling her thank you for Jay when we attended the 2006 Pilgramage in Hope, while touring the plant.

  7. ps. I had a gentleman come in tonight that was very adimant to tell me Bose was the best speaker made,

but that Klipsch came in close second...I sold him Klipsch. :)

Good job...I love stories like that.[:D]

  8. Although the invitation to visit dtel country is tempting (I hope to become an honorary dtel-"something" someday), I'd like to save New Orleans and Hope, AR for a grand Mark Twain kind of tour beginning in St Louis and going down to NOLA and Biloxi.

If anyone ever needs travel tips for a Montana or Yellowstone trip, I'm your guy.

The invitation still stands. I think you would be surprised at some of the "non-city" things around New Orleans and it is beautiful in March.

As far as the "Mark Twain" kind of tour you mention, you had better plan a couple of weeks at least.

Sputnik, you and yours do not have to visit to become an "honorary dtel-"something"".[;)]

  9. Wecome to the Forum C5Vette, looks like you have been "lurking around" for quite a while. We hope to see you "around" more often.

Coytee, I forgot about your relatives living in Buras. We have become accustomed to the "total loss situation". I wish the insensitive part could become a reality for us, but it is difficult when we live so close to the Gulf Coast and New Orleans.

When Colter was in town we took him to dtel's mom's house, which was a total loss in St. Bernard. It was basically the same as the day Katrina hit. Nothing had been done on their home as my mother in law and sister in law have purchased land on "higher ground", just around the corner from us.

Anway, Michael left on Sunday, December 10, 2006 and my mother in law's home was bulldozed less than a week later.

Seems after so many "false alarms" a lot of folks did the same as your family members. Dtel's niece, a member of the forum, left with the clothes on her back and one other outfit, as did other friends and family members of ours.

Dtel would be glad to give you some tips on "fast clearing".[;)] We will let you know as we get a little closer to February if we are going to make the trip.

  10. Michael might have the acreage and barn by that time... now the neighbors might not quite understand, but hey... anything is possible!!

At least we could demo everything there...!!! hahahahahahaha

Hey Indy...you may want to check that out with Colter, before you volunteer him and his equipment. From what I can understand he is a very busy man...now that he works for Klipsch![;)]

  11. Congratulations to the happy couple. And might I say- very dashing suit and lovely wedding dress! And I've seen a few. Mike and Allison, you two look stunning. Tell Allison that I love her jewelry ensemble and the champagne satin edge on her veil sets off the dress detail marvelously! Tres Chic!

Congratulations Mike and Allison. Picky and Verna, thanks for sharing this with us.

Michael, that comment and others like it are what make you such a good photographer.

  12. Christi, I think you hit it on the head.

I spoke to him last night, I think he said it was about 13 hours (longer than he anticipated). I drove to Buras once (started at 5:00 PM). Drove STRIAGHT through and as I recall, it was about 12 hours for me. I'm about an hour from Sevierville, so I am right about smack dab in the middle of you two. My all night drive to Buras WAS the drive from he!! !! (especially since we left at 5:00 AFTER a whole day at work)

Expecting Fritzie to call me in a while as he loads up to leave Sevierville. Going into town to meet him for breakfast and lead him to my house.

Coytee, I have to ask this question...what in the world were you doing in BURAS???? There is not much of anything down there!!! I thought you were around Knoxville and Sevierville is about an hour from Knoxville, if I am remembering correctly.

    I love TN[:P]

Coytee, maybe, just maybe we will be making a trip your way in mid February. We usually leave town for Mardis Gras and that happens to be around the 17th of February this year. We are still trying to work out the details with all the dtels' schedules![;)]

  13. Whichever is 'best' I leave in the ears of the listener, much like my LS/CW listening. Depends on your room, musical styles, loudness, ears, etc.

It might be that the 7 is more exciting for Rock and the 83 more well balance for Jazz etc? Give em a listen and take some home!

I know we are generally speaking of "newer" speakers, but Colter you shouldn't you have said "my LS/CW/Forte II listening"?[;)]
