  1. You may want to check around on the receiver. Some dealers will double the manufacturer's warranty. We purchased our receiver at a "high end dealer", however his price was the same as BB and the others, but they doubled the warranty.[H]

  2. It's okay that you quoted yourself...sometimes you have to repeat yourself a couple of times to get someone's attention on here.

If you have the frames for the speaker covers it should be fairly easy to replace the cloth on them.

BTW, is there any way to "convert" a Forte I cover to a Forte II cover. I really like the magnet idea, it works much better than the little post.Maybe you could cut the posts off and the attach magnets??? I don't know, just asking.

Does Klipsch sell the magnet set up? They are used on the newer speakers also.

  3. Please respond to Amy's first post on this thread. She has requested emails to her office for those attending. Thank you.

If you have interest in the Klipsch Pilgrimage to the Headquarters in Indianapolis, please consult the other threads detailing the plans.

We will get on that right away Mr. Colter...glad to see you back with us...how was your trip? Wonderful, I hope.[:P]

  4. Is the pilgramage to Indy or Hope, Ar? Are the speakers still even made in Hope?

Klipsch's Heritage Line of speakers are still manufactured in Hope, along with a couple of their other speakers. The Pilgramage to Hope included a "working" tour of the plant. It was awesome to see quality products still produced in the United States.

Take a look at the thread I mention in the above post, "dtel's Cornwall III's".

Welcome to the Forum and we hope to see you in Indy in June.

  5. In.

    Date?

The Pilgramage will be in Indy this year, the weekend of June 23.

Welcome to the Klipsch Forum. BTW, I tell all newbies be sure to check out the thread "dtel's cornwalls" under Pilgramage. That thread documents the building of the Cornwall III's we won, courtesy of Klipsch when we attended the Pilgramage in Hope, Arkansas in June 2006.

Hope to see you in Indy.

  6. I signed up back in July 2006 and never got any email confirmation. Since then, I have been too busy to check back. It is now almost 3:00 AM and I decided to sign up again but the forum said that user exists. So I signed in and, voila! There I am all these months and I didn't even know I have been accepted into the cult. Any way, it's good to know that there are black magic behind a speaker forums!

Yes, it seems the web site has had a few difficulties recently. Our moderator, Amy Unger has invitied the web guy to the Piligramage. We are going to set up a dunk tank at the Pilgramage and shoot cats out of a cannon at him! [;)]

BTW, welcome to our little neck of the woods...be sure to check out the Pilgramage section of the forum and in particular the thread called "dtel's Cornwall III's. That thread documents the building of our Cornwall III's which we won, courtesy of Klipsch at the 2006 Pilgramage in Hope, Arkansas in June 2006.

  7. They will be in Little Rock; it's been awhile since we have been to a concert; just might have to go to this one. Bill

Bill - are they playing Alltel?

If you click on Coytee's link at the beginning of the thread it gives you the entire schedule. But...be sure to scroll through the entire schedule, because New Orleans was close to the end and I missed it the first time.

Arky, are you having a change of heart about BMG?

  8. Is this a trick question?[;)]

After reading it a couple of times, then voting, I started thinking to myself..."maybe this is a trick question".[;)]

This is not a trick question. I want to know if we need or should get a live act and put on a show for the end of the night. or

If we should just stop with dinner.

We are trying to decide how much money we will need to put this on.

Trey, I was kidding when I posted this. I am almost certain #2 will get 100% of the votes, if not 100%, then it will still be a landslide!!!!

    Everybody loves a party!!![8][D][<:o)]

And to think you got the Cheech and Chong joke![;)]

  9. After much deliberation, financial analysis, and the fact I MAY be relocating to the KY, WV, IN, MO, TN, IA seeking a job somewhere else in logistics OTHER THAN POULTRY ........the trip is on hold til 2008.

Unfortunately, I discovered this Pilgrimage after I committed to attending my FAOA rally in Norwalk, OH in August.

It will DEFINITELY be on the top of my list of "things to do" for 2008.

    [:(]

  10. Why

That is if you don't mind sharing the answer with us.

Really awesome place. I know you are going to miss it. I would.

Well, the case is this. I have a contract with, I would call it, a caretaker company. Whenever houses or business buildings are abandoned for whatever reason (on the list to be demolished, renovated, owner can't sell or rent the place, etc.) this company gets a call to "install" one of us. We get to live in those places at a very low price to guard the place and keep it representable (as well as the neighborhood, nothing more depressing than nailed shut windows nextdoor) and keep squatters and junkies out. So I lived in a few adventurous places, where I would never have been able to live otherwise and... I was able to save enough to feed this ridiculous hobby. The downside ofcourse is, whenever the sword of Damocles drops, I have to move out within 2 or 3 weeks. Usually they have another address. I shared that big house with one other guy, he lived there for more than 8 years!!! I lived ther for almost two. T.

Good job, but as with all jobs...bad side.

I hope they don't demolish that building, it is awesome. I somehow feel better thinking someone with A LOT of $$$ bought the property and will restore it to its previous granduer????

  11. I am actually going to make it out to the pilgrimage this time around, I'm pretty much positive that I HAVE to get out there. I have tried for years, this time it has to happen.

And yes... you need to make the Pilgramage. The trip to Hope in 2006 was great!!! We are looking forward to Indy in 2007!!!

  12. *pfft that ain't the fbi *

I don't think he said the bom* word either... If you look closely at what he said, I think he was looking up BOOBS

    [:o][6]

    Home made?

You take a bottle of wine

    A lot of lubbing

    wait 9 months

    out comes a baby

50/50 chance its a boy or girl though

Now that right there is funny, I don't care who you are! (Favorite saying of the Larry the Cable Guy, my favorite comedian)

  13. Clue, you've been around here sine 2/22/2002, which I find a little odd in the first place, numerically, nonetheless, you've been a solid contributing member of the forum. My wife has just began her connection to the internet within the last 6 months; she thinks it strange that you could consider someone you've never met, not will likely never see, your friend, but she'll catch on. For what it's worth, I'll throw my hat in the ring of those that feel you are a safe bet to not be a bad "guy".

If your wife hangs out on the Klipsch Forum for any length of time, it won't take her long to understand.

We are often asked about the Pilgramage. Most people wonder why we drive 8-14 hours to see a bunch of people we have never even met. I recall something another Klipsch Forum member told me, "It's like a big family reunion, where you finally get to meet the family members you never met before".

I don't know if most people could understand that statement, but I think a lot of folks on this Forum know exactly what that means.

  14. Well, Once again I over-reacted.

Also, this required people to provide snail mail addys, which is always a scarey thing. Thus, this thread about my wonderful moral character. LOL. I was going to use this thread as a reassurance if I asked someone for their mailing address and they got nervous.

If someone doesn't trust me, well then they don't get my stuff (That was Less- yes she's still around)

Clu, you can have my mailing address, which is my also my physical address anytime you need it, night or day.[:D]

Nevermind, you already have my address.

Are there really two of you?[;)]

  15. Here's the deal...I'm about to buy a pair of cornwall II's but I'm not going to be able to put them in a big room for another 6 months. I can fit them in the corner areas of my bedroom and while this is not a desired setup ( its only temporary) ,will they still sound good at reasonable volumes for a smallish bedroom? They will be driven by a Bottlehead Enhanced S.E.X. amp.

    Thanks

I am glad to see you decided to buy the Cornwall II's. I think you will love them.

Let us know what you think when you get them, hopefully it will be soon.
