  1. Looking for a KV-4 in excellent condition. Anyone have one? Thanks....
  2. Up on ebay now--started the bidding out very low--the wife wants all this stuff gone. Can't blame her. Cheers.
  3. Did you see that pair of fortes sold for $50! Another pair is up now. I put my single one up again as well. i might just have to sell it for parts on ebay. A shame.
  4. I guess it is ebay? Probably put i up this weekend.
  5. I keep looking for another set of chorus so I can have three up front. Been waiting a long time.
  6. You could ask Chris if he could rework it for a Forte 2 on the cheap. I bet he could. Did you see that there are a pair of Forte 2 on Hawaii CL right now?
  7. Hey Oldtimer! How's it, Brah? Hope all is well for you out on the mainland. When you coming back?
  8. Thanks so much. Wow. 2 feet is a bit. I need a bigger house! Thanks again.
  9. Hey All, I wanted to offer this here first. I have a single K-Stack for a Klipsch Forte for sale. It was made by Chris Munson and installed by Chris in an original Forte that I was using as a center channel. I am now using a CF3 for a center and no longer need this. It is in perfect condition and ready to go. I will post pictures. Asking $100 or best offer. I also still have the Forte that goes with it. I just listed it on CL as I would rather not have to ship it. However, if someone wants it and does not mind paying the shipping from Hawaii, I am happy to sell it. Make me an offer. It is in great condition as well. I will pack it so it is safe for the journey. Check FEDEX Ground for shipping. Use 96734 for the zip. The speaker is 35 1/2" x 12" x 17". Just add about an inch or two all the way araound for packing to figure thebox size. Thanks for looking. bdbaba
  10. Thanks guys. But now I have one "Yea" and one "Nea." I need a tie breaker![] I would assume that the DVR has a HDD in it--its the Scientific Atlanta 8300HDC. And if it is a problem, how far away from the Chorus would I need to plae the box--and my PS3 for that matter? It for sure sounds like no problem for the Oppo, though, which is good news.
  11. Hey All, If I put a Time Warner HDTV cable DVR box on top of my Chorus 1 will the magnetism from the speaker cause any damage to it over the ong haul, or is it no problem? How about an Oppo DVD player as well? Thanks, bdbaba
  12. Hey BB, Actually we are now on Oahu. It has been interesting lately. Honolulu has been looking like LA on a bad smog day with all the VOG from the Big Island blowing over here. Pretty amazing and quite a bummer. Right now it is beautiful, though! No VOG. And I hope it does not come back! Well, off to watch some bluray! Have a great night back on the mainland!
  13. Hey Billybob, Yup. I have not been posting much anymore, just listening. I am listen to a mix of stuff. Just bought a PS3 and I have been playing around with blurays and sacds. I guess I could look for another Forte and use them for rears! Of course my center has a K-Stack in it, so I would have to get another. Hmmmmm!
  14. Hey Doug, I would have to answer yes to all your points. I would have thought it would have sounded off myself, but I was wrong. Of course the Academy that is supposed to match the Chorus has completely different drivers then the Chorus as well and it sounded pretty good too--not nearly as good as the Forte or the Chorus though. Both my wife and I thought the CF3 was clearer and had better dispersion across the room.
  15. Hey All, This might be a stupid post, but... As an experiment, I replaced my Forte center with an Epic CF3. Any of you knowledgable, big brained Klipsch folks want to chime in on why a two way CF3 (Gen 1) sounds better as a center for my Chorus (Gen 1), then a three way Forte (Gen 1)? It would seem that the Chorus and Forte would be a better match. Wouldn't the drivers in the Forte be a closer match to the Chorus? I still have not found another pair or single Chorus on island to give me a perfect match up front. However, with the CF3 up there, it does not seem like I need to anymore--still looking though!!. The CF3 definitely adds more bass to the picture. I am a bit surprised as I seem to like the clarity of a three way speaker.. I had assumed that the three way Forte would have that same clarity, but it seems that the CF3 beats it out. And please do not get me wrong--I love the Forte; no bashing here--used to have three up front before I found the Chorus. I am just surprised--happily so. Also, why is it that most people on these boards seem to like a three way speaker better then a two way speaker? It seems that I do too when it comes to the Chorus versus CF3--even though the CF3 does beat the Chorus in the bass area without doubt. Thanks, bdbaba
  16. Thanks for the info! I have been playing today. Took the port tubes out of the epics and threw them into the chorus. It does seem to tighten up the bass a bit. I am not sure if I notice the bass being deeper. I have to keep listening. I still have to compare the epics with the "port tubed" chorus. My earlier impressions have been that the epics have better and tighter bass, especially with rock stuff--more slam. The chorus seem to have a clearer top end. If I can get the bass a bit better while keeping the clear top end that would bethe best of both worlds. My x'overs in the chorus are stock. My Forte center has Chris Munson's Network in it.
  17. Saw your sale for these on ebay. Sent you an email through the ebay system. Just saw this. Thanks for the info on the port tube size. I have a pair of Epic 3 version ones that I am comparing to my Chorus ones. The port tubes in the Epics are the exact same size as what you are using. This is going to be interesting! I already have the Crites Tweeters. Did you notice any improvement with the X-over upgrade?
  18. Aloha Roy! I think you should give yourself a raise as well! Thanks for the info. I am lucky enough to have a wife that likes big speakers. These CF-3s look downright small compared to the Mirage M3si that I had back on the mainland. Wonder what the odds of me finding a pair of Jubilees on island......... Hmmmmm........ [] Thnaks again for everything. bdbaba
  19. Hey Trey, Thanks for the reply. I have been talking with Steve Phillips--he is very easy to talk to and very knowledgable. I think all of you guy's deserve a big raise![H] He said that the version one's had the clear wire--my brother's are version one's and do have the clear wire. However, only the version ones were supposed to have the 5 1/2 inch port tubes, which mine do have--so do my Bro's. I figure mine are version ones that were on the cusp of the change. I hope so anyway. At least i know they have the better drivers like the originals and the longer port tubing. Not sure if there were any other major differences between the two. Do you have a pair of these?
