  1. Michael....It appears you have your hands full of a few CW's. Have you compared the Cornwall vs Cornwall II? Curiuos if there is much of a difference in sound.
  2. Bob...Thanks for the comments regarding the crossovers. Is the Cornwall II slightly inferior as compared to the Cornwall? Did Klipsch reduce their focus on this version of the Cornwall and would it be considered 2nd rate again compared to the original Cornwall?
  3. Looking for comments regarding 1986 Cornwall's. How are the cross over networks, will they need to be replaced to improve the sound? I had a pair of '84 AL Lascala's that sounded like crap until I replaced the network. What is a fair price for a set of speakers in excellent condition?
  4. Thanks to all with the THX Ultra comments. I'll add them to my search. Appreciate your help.
  5. Hi Andy, Thanks for the advice on the subs. I am not sure how to answer the "how low" and the "output" questions. I like a tight bass but the Lascalas are just missing the mark. I tried to hook up an 8" with the Lascalas and they got buried real quick. I like the idea of a seperate power amp, I'll look into your suggestions.
  6. Which Klipsch subwoofer would mate with the Lascalas?
  7. Mark, Stupid question coming at you......What cables are you refering to (ie. 10ft & up to ~75ft)? Gary
  8. Ward, I am about to refinish my Lascalas. Do I need to remove the speaker components or can I sand and apply the finish with the elements installed? Looking for a best known method. Thanks
  9. Hi Robert, Sorry to hear you have to part with such a killer system. I'm sure you'll bounce back better than before. I noticed that you have an Ah! CD player. Are you considering selling that? Gary
  10. Great site with lots of reading. Thanks for forwarding. Hoping I'll get some real life advice from this site as well.
  11. I'm a newbie to the forum and the Klipsch family. Just brought a set of '84 Lascala's into my livingroom. I like the raw look of the speakers but my wife says I better make them look nicer or they go out to the garage. They do not have any finish on them and have a few small (less than a quarter inch) of missing pieces of lamanent on the corners. Looking for some advice on how to patch the missing lamanent (ie, wood filler, etc) and how to put on a finish. Do I need to remove the speaker components before sanding and applying the finish? Any and all advice is welcome. Thanks, Gary
